Richards has a few owners. All are relatively local. They purchased it back from PE some time ago. And 2 of them have a long history in the meat production business.
The new Tony Chachere's sausage and boudin products are very good. I've mostly seen it at Wal-Mart and Super 1.

savoies and richards arent what they used to be. If you arent getting a store made sausage I would go with rabideauxs.

Huh? As far as I know, it’s still owned by an out of state investment firm from California.

Either verons (from the actual supermarket in lutcher) or bust.
The verons you get at any grocery store is not the same as the one in lutcher

I always use Country Pleasing green onion smoke sausage from Sams Club.

Verons grocery in Lutcher has their own sausage.
A processor in Prairieville owns: Verons, Martins, River Parish Foods. Sausage that you find at a grocery store.

if you live in south Louisiana and buy Richard's or Savoie's sausage then you ain't right in the head.
I asked a real Cajun one time what was the best brand of sausage. He said the one on sale.

Porche's is the best, imo. They're in French Settlement.
