Steaks - in a restaurant my SO likes Outback and Longhorn, if it's a grocery store/butcher, at least Prime grade

Sushi - Tsunami, Geisha, Ichiban (fav of the 3)

Crawfish - Tony's Seafood, Ron's Seafood (we normally cook our own but I've had good crawfish from these two in the past)

Gyro's - Akasha, a couple places my SO knows, idk the names

Please let me know what grocery store you shop in that regularly has "at least prime grade" TIA

You can get a great steak that is choice. Just have to buy from someone who knows what they are doing.

For example, I thought the steaks from the LeBlancs on Airline in Pville were not good at all, whereas Harvest in Dutchtown is way better. It's one of the few things I like better about Rouses since they took over the stores.

ETA: btw, I'm not cheap at all when it comes to buying food. I don't typically skimp I've just found that good quality can be had at both levels.

Ichiban is by far the best. Tsunami isn't better than most sushi places, it's all about the location. I only go to Ichiban

So when you go to Outback and Longhorn, are you buying burgers? Because those cheap steaks aren't prime, and you'd find better in most grocery stores

If you only go to Ichiban, how do you know what the sushi is like at Tsunami, compared to other sushi places?

I only go to Ichiban now*. I've obviously tried other places. But I only go back to Ichiban if I'm choosing the restaurant

I was a bigger fan of Tsunami when Leah owned it, but I would argue that it is better than many other places in town. The Michael Doumit Roll (fried softshell crab roll) is amazing. So is their Lava Roll and I really can't say that I've ever had anything that disappointed me.

Harvest in Dutchtown

Has the worst meat and produce in a 25 mile radius. WinnDixie is better than Harvest.

So the lowest level of steak that you'll buy from the market is prime, but you'll eat a gyro from Akasha?
