They cannot provide them table service however. Think Blue Oak, Barracuda, etc.

On May 16th, restaurants will be able to open at 25% occupancy.

I assume although I have no idea. Just no table service and must maintain "proper social distancing".

They need to rethink the 25% occupancy on May 16th.

That is not enough for a restaurant to open.

50% is a good compromise for 2 weeks.

I am assuming this has a lot to do with it. A number of places are selling booze with your takeout.

A 2 person 20”x30” table provides the same amount of social distance whether it is inside or outside. This new rule is bullshite.

Or maybe it’s just “testing the water” so to speak.

The rule is more about inside air circulation compared to the relative open air of a patio.

Some studies have shown super spreaders have occured where they sat in a restaurant and air circulation brought it to adjacent tables despite being more than 6' away.

Does this outdoor seating solve that problem if a decent breeze is blowing? Not sure I see how.

Probably doesn't solve it, but it's better than air constantly recirculating inside.

you already rode up there or are meeting that person. The rule is to allow more space between the 20”x30” tables

Is Commander's Palace open for take out? I would love to sit on the patio right now and walk the few steps to the kitchen and pick up about nine courses of Chef's Table food with wine parings in go cups. I would be there in a minute.

Yeah it’s going to be intro see how these place all get creative and adapt to this mess.

As for Commanders, I doubt it would be worth it to open the place. That courtyard wouldn’t be able to hold very many customers with the 25% crap.
I guess they could auction off tables or charge a fee and do a few special events to make it worth it.

Any word on when Bayou Beer Garden might open? This is a perfect situation for them to open and make a little money.
