This place doesnt even have prices on the menu.
It has prices on the menu in the restaurant, just not listed online.

Just know that if they are going to charge you $75 for a missed reservation, you'll probably spend at least that much per head if you decide to eat there.

If you book a place in New Orleans for a party of more than 4, you’ll likely be hit with a cancellation fee. Don’t really see it if it’s four or less unless it’s a tough place to get into to

Peche is $25
Lilette is $30
Saba is $25
Patois is $75
Etc etc etc

Smaller the place, the more the fee is, usually

But no shot in hell am I giving my CC info just to save a reservation.

Enjoy outback.

Or maybe the plethora of other fine dining places that don't do something like this.

No way in hell i'd give a credit card for that either. That's just stupid.

NY is even worse. We have lunch reservations at carbone and dinner reservations at boucherie and it’s 50$ per guest if we cancel

I’m assuming the charge is somehow in a credit card. If so, that charge can be disputed

Can someone give me a reason why this is such a travesty? Do you oftentimes make reservations and then fail to show up to them? This isn't even the non-refundable deposit that some places put into effect, it's just a charge if you waste a seating in the restaurant by not fulfilling your reservation.

Three pages, sure it's been said but hasn't Peche and several places in NOLA done this for years?

Very odd

It's like they're scared they're going to get scammed, but then pay with a credit card at the same restaurant

Prior to this I had genuinely never heard of it, and initially was turned off by it but after seeing some responses in the thread I can see it's justification.

For me no luck needed. Lol. I’d never give my CC information for a reservation.
