Restaurant recommendations for Destin/Okaloosa Island

Going Thursday for 5 days. Our condo is actually on Okaloosa Island/Ft Walton but don't mind hopping over the bridge to Destin as I'm sure we will anyways. We've been to Destin before but just wanted to see if we're missing out on any good places to eat. Family friendly places for the ol lady and I along with our 3yr old son. TIA!!

Mcguires Irish Pub right by the bridge is great. Great steaks. Try the senate bean soup at $.18.

Old Bay Steamer is just down the street form you near the Fire station. Get the royal reds. The firemen will give the kid a tour of the trucks and a little firemen's helmet also.

Boshamps in Destin.
If you're up for the drive Fisher's Upstairs in OB is great.

I just saw a host of March 2015 reviews. It was a good choice years ago, but I have not been in a good while. It's likely 15 + minutes east of where the OP is locating.

On the Island, you've pretty much got two choices. Sammy's and the Waffle House. Sammy's feeds employees to the Waffle House as they age out.

Just looked up Sammy's. Not sure if I can break away during a family vacation to visit that fine establishment.

Maybe I should have mentioned I don't eat seafood. I know, I'm a weird one.

Considering your location, Mcguires will be your friend.

Just checked out McGuires menu. Looks good to me! Is it kid friendly? Considering it's a pub.
