I like The Prisoner as well.
I think there’s a whole wine thread, so this one will get dumped or die.
People like those threads with thousands of posts for some reason (see the whisky bourbon thread). I find them worthless.

The Prisoner is always a good bet, but the price point is highly inflated for what it is. Dave Phinney, the bad boy of the wine world, famously created the prisoner and sold the company with an 8-year non-compete, came out with 8 years in the desert the year after his NC was up.
For a better priced but similarly sourced version try the Locations lineup, which are excellent at the $17-27 price point. My favorites are the Spain & Texas mashups. Bottle design leaves a little to be desired but these are winners at any dinner party.

Yes! I appreciate red wine very much!
Big fan of Napa Cabs and blends, Cotes Du Rhône French options, and any good Petit Sirah ( had a great one from South Africa with dinner last week)

Nothing like a good box of ice cold Franzia to impress her on that first date.

My favorite Cab atm, 1858 Paso Robles (found at Total Wine)

I like my red wine. The racks are all full now and I have about 10 cases in boxes. Plus two wine fridges full of whites.

That 1858 is from Caymus’ Paso Robles winery. I have never had it but I bought a bottle to take to a dinner party next weekend. I hope it is good.

Love red wine, though I drink less of it in the summer. Nothing I hate more than warm red wine. I've been on a Sicilian kick recently.

This is my favorite cab right now. It is probably the best cab I have ever had.

Help me out a bit cause I dont know much of anything about wine.
I used to strictly drink cabs, but I am lately liking Pinot Noir and find it more "drinkable" if that makes sense.
There are times when I have a nice steak and a full bodied cab really hits the spot. I'd like suggestions for cabs under 20 bucks and Pinot's at the same price point.
I have been drinking bread and butter quite often due to the price at 13-14/bottle. The 2019 was very good, but it seems like its getting more "watery" or light with the 2020+
I guess for everyday drinker I want something cheap but good. With better dining, I'll spend more like 30+ per bottle.
yeah I know im cheap.

The Columbia Crest Reserve reds and their Horse Heaven Hills reds are great value: $11-$17.
