RecTeq Bullseye Opinions?

Ive been seeing these on FB and thought about buying one.
Confession, im not a smoker. I just grill on a gas Weber every once in a while. But I like the idea of smoking some chickens or brisket. This Bullseye seems like a great fit for a casual bbq'er. I have no desire to buy some huge rig for the few times ill use it.
Anyone have one of these?

Best $400 I’ve spent in a while.

They are great. If buying new consider a Camp Chef woodwind. Same build quality amd performance but a few dollarbucks cheaper.

I've had one for 8 months. It's exactly what Rec Teq says it is. You just have to give it 10-15 minutes to get to temp, but then it stays there within 1 degree if you don't lift the lid.
Tip: rub the outside with a light layer of high smoke point oil with a paper towel. Makes it nice and shiny.

I’ve had one for about 3 months and like it. I don’t use it like a smoker but it’s capable of smoking. I do more hot and fast cooks on it

Can you smoke brisket, pork butt, and ribs with the same result as their larger smokers? I would like to buy one of these if I can smoke and grill

Looks like they are on sale right now. Just bought one.

Yep…the Bullseye can handle a brisket, couple butts, or a couple racks of ribs at a time.
Keep the ash pot clean and use a drip pan on top deflector plate…otherwise when you switch to high heat cooks you’ll have a bonfire on your hands.

And their customer service is TOP NOTCH! I have had one for 5 years and called twice to replace some parts and shipped out that day. Just dont trust the temp guage on the lid, get one that sits on the grate to get a true temp

I just pulled the trigger today and ordered one. Keeping Hasty Bake Charcoal and ditching the stick burner smoker.
A buddy of mine has had one for a year and he loves it.

It’s a badass grill/smoker. I had to calibrate mine, but it’s humming now and will hold steady as low as 200, and get nearly 900 degrees with Grill Grates.

Yep. Best charcoal pit I have ever owned. Been using it for almost 10 years and still going strong.
Not mine but what they look like
