Spending Memorial Day weekend in Laffy at one of my kid's tennis tournaments. I've never spent any appreciable time in the city, so any places that are can't miss, I'd appreciate. Thanks in advance.

Last I heard they were working on getting enough capital together for an oven. Last time I was there was... about a month ago? Was the same as always.
Though I obviously can't speak to what it might be going forward.

B&C ... dined there Saturday night with my daughter.
Same regular menu as I had seafood cioppino, daughter had hanger steak
Did notice when being seated the chalk board menu with specialty pizzas. Daughter and I each tried a different type slice of oven baked pizza which was very good

Lunch places, sit down or pick-up and casual evening spots; It'll be just me and my 10 year old, or perhaps a group of parents with near that age kids, so no fine dining. I'm not worried about price as long as quality is good, and I like local joints.

Like BJ's pizza?
OP Olde Tyme or Pop's are the 2 best places in the city for a po-boy.
I agree with Pamplona, Charley G's, Cafe Vermilionville for dinner.

Cool. If I am ever on that side of the world, I'll stop in.

Hit this on Sat. for lunch, or supper, if you don't want to spend a lot and/or get somewhat 'dressed up'.
