Recipes using a ham bone?

My wife and I were given a honey baked ham last week and we have the bone left over.
What are some good recipes other than red beans and rice that include a ham bone?

Ham bones make delicious ham stock. You can freeze the stock for bean soups or pork based gravies. Really good in a ham and potato soup, as well.

Split pea soup is a good use for a ham bone. However, I prefer to use one from a regular smoked ham and not a honey baked one since they tend to add a bit of a sweeter taste to the product you are making, especially if the ham was glazed with all that brown sugar topping when heated.

If I may hijack for just a moment, I've got a pot of red beans going and was thinking of finishing them off the last 60-90 minutes on my smoker. Any of you baws do this regularly, or ever tried it? Bad idea?

White beans was already mentioned, but 12 bean (or however many you want) soup is also awesome with a ham bone.

MIL used to make creamed corn after the majority of the ham was eaten. Lot of gristly meat left, but a few good bits.
Made a stock, had the family shucking corn and with the dull side of a knife "milking" the cobs. I used to pick corn from a family/church members farm. 2 hours max, sweetest white corn ever.
I miss her. That woman lived to cook.
I may have told this story before.
After her second diagnosis with cancer, she asked if she could live with us. Where she lived previously, they didn't have the Food Channel.
We laughed about the gossipy subjects brought up shelling peas. We laughed about the time I thought a hogshead was something like a premium cured ham.
She died at our house.
I miss her to this day.

Potato soup. I usually get my food grade hacksaw out and cut the bone in two. Half is plenty to flavor a potato soup and I can freeze the other half for another soup.
