re: Rally Cap Brewery - Really good beer

I still enjoy them, but the volume of hazy IPAs being made just eats up too much brewery throughput for my liking.
Try the Destihl Extended Jam if you see it on the shelf. I saw someone here mention it recently, and it's one of the better ones I've had in a long time.

$20 for 4 beers seems excessive.
Maybe so, but $17-$20 a 4-pack is pretty standard for brewery release IPA/DIPA. All of Urban South new releases are $20 a 4-pack

Rally Cap was a disappointment when they opened but last time I went (weekend before all this shite started) I really enjoyed several of their offerings.
Friendly staff, large place, good food trucks, I just hate the location

Same here. I didn't find their beer all that great at the opening, but they appear to have everything dialed in. Personally, i love the locations because its right down the road from my house. However, being on industriplex leaves much to be desired for scenery. Beer is worth it though.

First Pitch and Exit Velocity were $12 and $13/ 4 pack of 16 oz. respectively. Anything over that for an IPA i'll pass. $20/4 pack is absurd to me, regardless of the brewery *cough *Parish *cough

first time I've seen it up here
we also got some All Relations

I think 20 is going to be common place with some moving towards 22-24....
All Relation is 18-20 it seems
Urban South is moving that way
Parish is already there
Parleaux is 14-16 right now with Brieux Carre right there

As opposed to pumping out a million iterations of hazy IPAs which is what the vast majority have done the last 2 years? Give me experimental. Just give me anything that isn't haze at this point.
I agree with you on the haze, its too much. But where we differ is that I want more traditional styles. A well done kolsch, west-coast APA, vienna lager, etc can all be great beers. They just don't sell like the experimental ones though. I can't blame the breweries, as much as the people buying them. If its experimental, and it works? Awesome. But some of this shite coming out now is disgusting. A sour milkshake pina colada IPA? No thanks... Everything has lactose now too. Lactose belongs in very few beers.

The 5 vs 12 was $17 and that was their best beer to date in my opinion.
I like First Pitch a lot, but’s it’s a Pale Ale that you can get at the grocery store. I said IPA/DIPA that were Brewery only.

Pretty good. Definitely a step up from Tin Roof

$15-20 for a 4 pack of tall boys isn't too bad IMO. Once you break the $5/can barrier it's kinda ridiculous.
