Same with the chicken sandwich. Thing looks super in photos. Lacks the acid that would really set the sauce off.

I like the sandwich quite a bit, but I agree it's not spicy/lacking in acidity. They offer an extra spicy version, but they just dust it with cayenne, and that doesn't do much for me. I take it as is.

But I like the sauce on it, so that's personal preference.

Lester, I'd also say their sprouts are top tier when they're on, but off peak hours they can be cold like you noted or some days they're just not good. I dunno if someone different is making them or what, but they aren't the same. That being said, I'm a BO fan and go there way too much. Partially because convenience, partially because I enjoy it.

Wings. Must have.

The best buffalo wings in the state. The only wings I've had that were better were from Central BBQ in Memphis.

I haven't had it in quite a while but I remember loving the sandwich.

I went back to CCBQ for the first time in a long time on the 4th and it was better than I remember. The last time I had Blue Oak they were charging $3 extra for brisket. I was fine with that considering the times but then the portion was even smaller than usual. Pay more, get less. That turned me off for awhile.

Oh yea, me too. I eat there a ton. I’m just nitpicking. Maybe that’s how they want it to taste. I’m all for artistic freedom, I just think it’s slightly off tho

BO’s best dishes aren’t even its traditional BBQ offerings

Central city isn’t bad, it’s just the biggest rip off in the city

Exactly. A lot of bar/restaurant/brewery owners are pretty left, and they support what they believe in. But they're not assholes about it.

Exactly.

I know which way the Portland breweries lean but they keep that out of their business. At least for the most part.

Shut up and brew.
