Started construction in “The Store” on 44 near Delauns Hardware Store, but has been at a stand still for quite some time. Any word?

I just spoke to them. Sometime in March. BBQ and smoked meats. His gumbo is legit.

I know the guy.
I would guess construction may have been halted for a while with the hurricanes. Dude raised money and used the proceeds to feed LEO's in Texas and Florida.

He is a legit cook/chef though. His BBQ is the real deal.

I’ve had his stuff a couple times and didn’t care it at all. I’ve never had his BBQ though so looking forward to trying it.

I've had his jambalaya and was not really impressed. The rice was really crunchy. I hope he does well though.

He’s up and running at old the Sonic in Prairieville. I hope he does well & i’m gonna have to try it, but a Sonic couldn’t make it there, don’t know how a lesser known establishment will.

We ate there on Saturday night. 3 meat plate combo is just under 17 bucks and comes with 2 sides (they were out of what we wanted --- mac and cheese). Portion wise, no complaints (split with wife). Taste wise, no complaints. Really enjoyed their brisket (Fatty and Lean) and ribs (not fall apart, which I like --- and really enjoyed their spice rub).

My oldest order a pulled pork sam'mich. Pork was excellent.

I hope these guys do well. They have a great following on FB --- and are very responsive to their followers.

I've had two good experiences there. I really like the rub he uses on the ribs.

Had the Roadhouse mac and it was honestly delicious. I shall be a return customer.
