199, not 200. Being under 200 is a goal being reached.

What shall I do? Nothing but jump up and down a few times. I still got more to lose.

I don't know about everyone else, but I plan on getting a new tailored suit after my "new" me is ready to wear one.

no, i havent tried it out yet. my garmin on my bike exports a file that i can upload to various sites. so far i've uploaded my same data file to these websites:
- strava.com
- connect.garmin.com
- ridewithgps.com
- mapmyride.com

each has something i like..the problem with garmin's site is it doesnt allow you to indicate what equipment (ie which bike) you rode on..i am riding both my new & old road bikes and i'm trying to see which one is faster to use on races so i'd like to see that when listing all my activities.

i'll post a screenshot from sunday's ride in a sec.

i'm not putting on my 33x34 levis until i hit 199 even though my 34s are getting very loose.

i'm shaving..had a beard going since november and i'm sick of it. bye bye at 199.

i've had all kinds of perks i've monitored along the way (ala call of duty) to keep me motivated and to add additional mini-goals which helped. just to give you some idea

- 227 (30 lbs down)
- 222 (see saw, at this point i had lost 50% of my original weight goal)
- 219 (new range)
- 217 (40 lbs down)
- etc...

i had a few others in there as well but you get the point. much easier to push myself to go from 227 to 222, than say from 230 to 220. being able to cross off the smaller goals was incredibly motivating.

yeah but i'm twice your age young'un and i weighed 257 a year ago and couldn't even sit on the bike in my living room without breaking it.

i couldn't walk up a flight of stairs without wheezing and in general wanting to sit down and rest for 10 minutes.

so i've been there..you may have a few pounds on me..but you have youth on your side. i ride my bike because i'm in love with cycling. i always have been. its FUN. i cant do p90x beacause i have adhd and wouldnt last a week on that.

riding my bike only happened once i dropped about 30-40lbs. i wasnt doing any exercise to speak of for a very long time while i was losing weight.

OK here is a topic for the group to discuss:

What is the best way to get a "beach body" when losing alot of weight (at least 75 lbs). No, I am not gay nor am I narcissitic . But be honest everyone wants to feel confident when taking off his shirt or slipping into her bikini.

How about weight training along with walk/running on a treadmill?

To get that "beach body", you're more than likely looking at lots of cardio and lots of lightweight but high number reps to build lean muscle. That's the way I understand it anyway.

I don't know what's a reasonable goal for myself. I'm currently in a 4x t-shirt. What do you guys think it would take for me to get into comfortable in a large? 220, 230?

I think size also depends on the shape you have been in most of your life.

Cad and I are about the same weight but I couldn't fit into his clothes.

Maybe if those bastards at the place I bought my damn bike would notice my damn order and the fact their damn site lists the damn bike in stock then maybe I could get to damn work on getting in better damn shape.

I'm a tall sunuvabitch. My mom thinks I'm taller than 6'3 now, I was 6'3 the last time I went to the doctor.. 3 years ago.

This is what I have been doing lately. 4 days a week. 45 minutes of fast paced light weight with high reps. I follow that up with 30 minutes on the treadmill starting at 2.5 mph working up to 10 minutes of jogging before cooling back down.

Of course this takes time.

Well unless you are 14 three years ago (or 70), you are probaly still 6'3".
