Rise & Shine and give God your glory glory and all that jazz!

Feeling much better this morning. I poisoned myself with old food on Sunday and then again on Monday before I determined the culprit. So I felt like crap Sunday-Tuesday.
Now I'm all better and ready to ride that bike if only that damn store would process the stinking order.
Happy HUMP Day!

I've got a question for you fellow dieters. Every tuesday I wake up at 9 pm to work a graveyard shift and when I get off I go to school. I just end up staying up til 9 or 10 wednesday night and crashing(its good to be young
). My question is how many extra calories should I factor into this 24 awake period? This shift I've had 2 satsumas(65 cals) and a protein bar(180 cals). I'll get off of work and have a day of my regular diet(1200-1400 cals). Is 1800 a good number to stay under for these days? More? Less?

checking in
216/202.7/190
Closing in and officially half way home
Just been keeping to a pretty good diet, not starving myself in any way. I love the gym anyway and have been running twice a week, hitting the exercise bike twice, elliptical once, pushups twice, lifting twice, and that should set me up for even after i finish this diet to keep toning and keeping it off.
And in the near future you may see me knock my target weight down by another 5

I actually think less. I think your body actually requires sleep to do a lot of the processing when it comes to weight loss.
I have NEVER lost any weight on nights I pulled an all nighter. You probably burn a few more calories being awake but I think the body ends up doing something else weird that makes it a negative to pull the all night gig.

myth is correct. a good night 's sleep is far mote effective at burning calories than being awake for 24straight hours

I'm not saying it isn't. But that isn't an option with my work/school shedule for this particular day of the week so I was wondering the best way to approach it. I guess I'll just start not eating on my night shift and eat my regular amount of calories once I get off of work.

Started Couch to 5K again yesterday morning. Week 2 of eating 1400 calories per day, so I'm strating to make progress. Now that it's not freezing cold out in the mornings, I think I'll do alot better about running in the mornings.
Great job to all!
(There's water in those mugs
)

I received my response from Walmart over the fact they can't even process an freaking order within 7 to 14 days.
I find this simply unbelievable. Hell, even when the internet first started I never saw a 14 day wait to simply have the order processed.
They sure had no problem removing the money from my bank the same day as the purchase.
Due to diet grumpiness, I am not letting this go. I am going to continue to harass them online and if I don't get a response from a higher up, I will be hitting the phones.

Limited funds forced me into big box. I should have just gone to the damn store and bought it instead of ordering it. Who knew it was going to cause alarm claxions, red lights and the tardis cloister bell to go off just because I tried to purchase an in stock item online.

Was telling my dad earlier today those dang nachos are the bane of my existence. I love me some nachos.
Brush off the dust and get back on that there horse.
Oh when the heck does true blood come back?
Well, my boss offered to buy me and my husband a hotdog and beer if we came to the hockey game, so we went and I looked on the concession stand menu for something I could eat, but figured maybe I'd just get the pork nachos and try to scrape the pork off the nachos, but I couldn't help but eat half of them.

Eating half is fine. Portion control is one of the main keys to losing weight as the guy proved on the candy bar diet.

Just finished chapter 10 - Induction in "Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution"
Interesting theories he has, I like the sound of it all. And I have to agree with his thoughts on how humankind originally existed primarily on meats, nuts, and berries.
In any case, I'm very optimistic about this. I'm nervous about taking the plunge, but excited also. Above all else, I feel proud of myself for finally committing. This is the most motivated I've felt for any weight loss experience I've ever started.
Friday night is probably going to be my big blowout, the last one for a long time. Get wasted, eat junk food, etc, for the last time and get up in the morning starting on Atkins.

Good luck and remember you must know the carb count for the day. Staying under 20 grams of carbs to be in induction.
The only downside to low carb is it can STALL the old waste disposal unit from time to time so make sure you drink LOTS of fluids to keep thing running smoothly.

Yep, 20 grams max. Won't be too hard for me I don't think. And I plan on drinking 4 18 oz bottles of water per day.
P.S. Here's me. Don't know how common it is on this forum but w/e.
