What have you been doing?
I just joined a gym and am just eating less and definitely eating less crap food. Also, no more beer during the week at least.

Quit beer, went to Vodka.
Eliminated bread, sugar and rice essentially. Heavy protein. Bacon and eggs for breakfast, protein and a healthy vegetable for lunch and supper. Supper meal is smaller. Snack at 9am - 2 boiled eggs with a small pack of tuna, 1/2 tsp mayo...snack at 3pm - 2 boiled eggs.
One day a week I eat what I want...without being stupid about it.
T-25 3-5 nights a week.
I lost 100lbs once before doing this same thing but spent the next 5 years celebrating.
Put 80 of it back on because it wasn't a life-style change. Now it is.

Speaking of 6 months of madness, my wife had her final chemo last week. A lot of the folks in this thread sent prayers and well wishes our way when I first found out about it and mentioned it here, so just want to say thanks to everyone for the support etc.
Time to get some normalcy back in life and finish my mid life transformation that started some 18 months ago.

I'm not going on a hardcore diet, but I'll play. not sure what the number are ya'll are posting but I weighed 189 on January 2. My goal is to hit 180 by February 2 or at least drop a pants size. I am lifting heavy on the upper body and legs so I may not drop the number as fast.
I'm cutting beer 5 days a week and limit of 2 on the weekends. eating clean 6 days a week with one day of whatever (but being sensible). Working out 5 days a week with a mix of cardio/core work three-four workouts per week and three days of lifting.
So far so good. only dropped 2 pounds but pants are already looser

T-25 is a workout program just like P90X and Insanity...but it's only 25 minutes long. I think it's the same guy hosting it. We have it out here on a small projector. Put up a whiteboard and plug in a Beats Pill for sound and follow along as best you can.
