it's funny. I always assumed I only liked coffee in my milk and sugar so I didn't drink it. One night at a meeting in November, I was freezing my nads off so I got some black with a packet of sweet and lo and lo and behold I realized I liked it with a touch of sweetener.
I'll drink it black, but I am not at the point of enjoying it black. "INSERT RACIST KID PIC"
I'm back off the coffee wagon and feeling much better today.

Amazing. I wonder what my nemesis is. Besides too much food I mean.

Taco Bell is my nemesis. At least at other fast food places I order a normal sized meal whereas at taco bell I always over order. blerp!

i started drinking coffee a few weeks ago. i used to have wine almost every other day. i'd look forward to it...the "craving" went away the day i started drinking coffee. i dunno if its a fluke or what, but this is week 3 of no wine. and i've lost a few pounds this month. i find the coffee helps get rid of the morning/after lunch snacking urges too.

due to kidney stones, dr told me to lay off carbonated drinks...ALL carbonated drinks (and tea).
that left beer, coffee and water because i avoid sugary juice drinks already.
so i went apeshit on coffee

i had been on straight water myself for over 5 years. nothing else.
i've decided not to buy a machine for the house bc i feel i couldn't handle it. i LOVE the caffiene buzz.

my dad's had three bouts with kidney stones and refuses to give up his pepsi and ice cream .. he says the once-every-ten-years child birth pains are worth it ..

nope, once was enough for me. kept me from seeing the tigers play baseball last spring.
as i understand it..carbonated beverages aren't bad..per se..but if you already have a stone (i had 2..only passed 1 so far) then the phosphates in the carbonation (think of the little bubbles that form on the side of the glass) will 'stick' to the calcium deposit of the existing stone..helping it to GROW and i don't want anything that has to come out my pee-pee hole to GROW LARGER.

hey, more stats. i bought a $24 weight watchers scale at bed & bath that does all kinds of calculations. take this with a grain of salt, but i imagine its roughly accurate. i'll update these stats at -5- markes (205, 200, etc.)
55.1 lbs body fat
26.2% body fat (25.1 is top of 'good' range)
27.8 BMI (26.1 is top of 'good' range)
53.8% water
8.1% bone mass (right where it should be)
210.5 lbs
its cool to see the water % and bone mass stay the same..but all the fat numbers have declined!
at this rate, 185 would put me at 15% body ffat which is where i'd be happy.

The cool thing is every ounce I lose, I am at a weight I haven't been at in 26 years.

You gurus tell me what you think of this. As I've stated before, I'm in week 2 of P90X. Well, when I started I bought a watch/heart rate monitor and it counts calories as well.
Well, yesterday I put it on when I left the house because I was curious about how many calories I burn in a normal day just "living". At 7am this morning it said 3225 calories. Do you guys/gals think this can be accurate? I didn't exercise last night at all so that didn't inflate the number. I was shocked at the high number. I always assumed it was around 2400 a day...
