Not to sound cliche' but you can do this, not muck it up and still have a good time.

Try your best to avoid the chips and salsa and then you will be good to go.

Well, I tend to avoid situations where I will be tempted because I actually don't have great willpower when it comes to food.

I've been to Casa Garcia 3 times since I started this diet and all 3 times I needed to be removed from the premises in a wheelbarrow.

Finally broke through the 260 plateau, officially 50 lbs off, 38 to 'goal', but that is a soft goal. I'm just going where this lifestyle change takes me.

At a business lunch yesterday I sat next to a woman who has one of those weight loss business franchises, she seemed a little miffed that I lost 50 lbs without help of a program. She asked me if I had a bypass, "yes, a refrigerator bypass", I told her.

So, I had a superbowl party at my place, and things didn't go well from there. I still have bags of chips unopened at my place and I have no idea what to do with them.

Down 1.5 lbs in the last week and a half.

With the SB behind me I hope I can get back on track

myth i fasted yesterday and am up a pound this morning. something has to give..i've been getting crazy amounts of exercise the last 4 days and barely eating. at some point my body has to declare 'uncle'. i'm going to eat a little bit today to temper the fasting; i'm sure thats not good for me but i like the discipline exercise of taking a day off from eating regardless. helps keep me in the right frame of mind.

Best compliment we can get! My step mom asked me this around Christmas. She asked me "When did you have the bypass?" I'm still not sure she believes me that I didn't have it done.

So much so, that she is now having a bypass herself.

Water weight. Plus as I have told you before, with all the exercise you do, you are in a million times better shape than me. So keep it up. Eventually the weight will start to leave again.

Heck half of January I was stuck at about 215. Plateaus suck but they also always end as long as we stay strong.

i know..its just frustrating to have dropped to 209 so quickly a couple weeks ago and now getting hung up 3lbs higher. this is really putting a crimp in my plan to hit 199 by the end of the month

I kind of lurk through this thread from time to time. There is some excellent work here. I applaud anyone who decides to improve some aspect of their lives AND then makes it happen!

I'm a former collegiate athlete and general strength and conditioning ethusiast. Each Sunday I push a sled, called a Prowler, on my street.

I saw some folks here were from Houston. I wanted to extend the invitation to anyone in area interested in a non-traditional workout to join me. Sundays are at 11 AM in midtown Houston. Sometimes friends join; lots of time especially in incliment weather, it's just me.

If anyone is interested, drop your email and I'll be in touch. For everyone else, keep up the great work!

Well, it is sad that you are stuck on the plateau, but at least the $100.00 wasn't wasted that I gave the voodoo priestess to jinx your weight loss thus allowing me to win race to 185.

Well went to TDB friday night, didn't really eat anything I shouldn't have, but ate a lot of what I could have. Then snacked and ate lots on Sunday, so now I am back to where I was on Friday morning. Oh well it was a nice break from the routine.

Nice to have a break, but make sure you get back into the routine.

All I can say is that I am glad I am not in the area. That sounds horrible.
