Curious to see what my weight will be next Monday after carb loading over the weekend. I'm sure the seven pds I've dropped from two weeks of keto is mainly water weight.

Had a pretty good weekend - just one cheat dessert meal Saturday night. Just finished 2 hours of basketball, so this week is off to a solid start. Hoping to get to the 100 lb mark soon...

Here's to everyone staying motivated

The weekend was bad... again. Not looking good for this upcoming weekend either.

Question:
After a high intensity workout does anyone experience a clogged ear sensation? Similar to ones ear popping on a airplane.

Have any of you read the book, "why we get fat" by Gary Taubes? I've heard really good things about it.

Anything from Gary Taubes is really good.

I had a good day yesterday. I'm planning on keeping it that way for the rest of the week, but temptations are already mounting.

I agree with Gary Taubes on lots of things but he is pretty much considered a joke by most in nutritional research.

Really? Why?

If I had to venture to guess, I'd say it's because most nutritional research is funded by huge corporations looking to not agree with Taubes.

Because most of his ideas are totally contrary to science. Lol. His argument is everything that goes against his ideas is bad science.

254/227/185. Went off the diet this weekend, but also burned tons of calories hiking 2 days. Muscles sore and can tell I'm retaining fluid from going off diet and muscle soreness, but weight is the same.

When the most of nutritional scientific studies are funded by Kellogg's and the like, is it any wonder people like Taubes question its validity?

Didn't weigh myself but did a 1.5 mile jog at 2:30 in afternoon... Ate a lean-one smoothie for lunch although temptation have in and I had a couple handfuls of sweet/salty bugles about 2 servings (1/3 cup) and dinner is steak tips.

I am doing awesome at eating clean but I am either eating too many calories or too much fruit or a combination because health wise I am doing much better but no more weight loss.

Nobody cares in the gym, that's just self conscience.. , just do your thing and you may even get people paying you compliments or giving you attaboys. Pretty decent day at the trough, went a little over calories but I had a good workout.
