Cubs fan saved by wearing a bucket on his head

A man was hit by a metal tile that dropped from the centerfield scoreboard at Wrigley Field, but he apparently was saved from serious injury by a plastic bucket he was wearing on his head, according to police and the.
The incident happened around 8:50 p.m. Tuesday as the Cubs were playing the Arizona Diamondbacks. A footlong metal “score tile” fell and hit a 19-year-old man, who was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center and received five staples to close a cut on his head, according to the Cubs spokesman Julian Green.

He has played 149+ games the past 4 years?
I think he could hit 20 a year if the Angels continue to trot him out as the DH.

Wouldn't be worried about Britton in NY, that is going to blow up. Evoldi is a depth move for the Sox he probably won't be on the postseason roster.

He isn't starting a bunch of scrubs, but he also isn't starting LeBron, KD, or Harden a real superstar. What he is doing is impressive when they lose their two best players during the season. Yea the players playing are not bad but he gets the most out of them.

He’s and upgrade at QB.

Based on talent alone LSU should win 9-10 games a year. Anything less is a disgrace. LSU is more talented than most of the teams they play this year. Another 8 win season and this coaching staff needs to go.

Why would anyone change because LSU got a backup QB? You really believe he is that much better than what LSU already had? So you have no faith in the QB's on the roster?

Wondering why a place has to be a fricking dump just because they serve the most interesting beer in town is inconsequential? Okay.
Tigers' Miguel Cabrera says he's 'done playing hurt'
Posted by Georgia Peach on 5/17/18 at 1:33 pm

Miguel Cabrera says his efforts to play through injuries with the Detroit Tigers have been unappreciated and he is "done playing hurt."
quote:
"I went through that last year, so I don't want to do the same thing," Cabrera told reporters Tuesday, according to mlive.com. "Nobody appreciates you when you play hurt, so I'm going to take my time and play when I'm good. I played hurt a lot of years here in Detroit. They don't appreciate that."
quote:
"When you are doing bad, they crush you. They crush you," he said. "They say you're bad, you should go home, you don't deserve anything, you're old. I say, 'OK, I'm done playing hurt.' Now I take my time."
quote:
Cabrera is in the third year of an eight-year, $248 million contract that is guaranteed through his age-40 season. The 11-time All-Star first baseman was off to a good start this season, batting .323 with three homers and 21 RBIs in his first 26 games.

He is obviously a first-ballot Hall of Fame player, but does this come off as a little whiny? Yeah, injuries hurt him last year as he had his lowest output of his career but this can't be a good look to attack the fans/media.
