Go to a web site such as:

MyFitnessPal

It is a lot easier to lose weight if you count calories, you will be surprised how many pounds you can lose just by being aware of what you are eating.

Well, I am back. I didn't do a very good job over the holiday season and mass eating stretched out to the 2nd.

I will hit it hard this week to get as much of the holiday gain off as I can then I will get back to my normal routine.

Started this morning. Starting weight- 200.5. Goal weight: 170-175. Per the "Lose It" app, 1660 calories per day (which seems like a lot) to lose 2lbs per week. 3 days a week of jogging at 5:30am. I'm gonna do it, dammit!

Lost 25 lbs last year, and all the clothes that I bought are now starting to feel pretty small.

Welcome aboard and good luck.

I'm currently having the opposite problem. All of my clothes are too big. Heck a suit I bought up at the max weight now fits like a tent.

You would have to be very active everyday to accomplish this.

Good luck though.

I thought it seemed like alot as well. I may try and keep it around 1400 and see how I do. Already slipped up tonight and got fast food for dinner.

Start again tomorrow.

Only 2 pounds from the low water mark on Dec 24.

Eating next to nothing until Saturday at which time I will resume my normal 1200 calorie days.

Still 200lbs, but it's only Day 2. Wife planned for us to bring dinner to some friends of ours tonight, and they want Mexican food Hopefully I can live on next to nothing during the day, and be light on the food. No chips and salsa for me.

The Siren Song of Hillbilly BBQ lured me into trouble today. Only good news is I ate half the combo platter. The rest will be my main meal tomorrow.

Still sitting at 200, which I guess isn't terrible since I've eaten out the last 2 nights. I'll be good tonight, and then tomorrow is the Cotton Bowl and I'll have venison chili (not too terrible, right), and I'll stay out of the kitchen so as not to snack for the whole game. Been jogging 3x a week in the mornings with a buddy that's more out of shape than I am, but it's still been good to get into a routine. Hopefully next week, I'll start seeing progress.

That's for damn sure! I'm done with eating out for a while starting next week. I should be able to go without until Jan. 21 for my wife's birthday.

i consistently stal or gain a pound if i eat out ONCE over the course of a week. and i'm not talking a huge meal..i just think there are alot more calories than i think in it. this is probably also due to massive amounts of sodium that causes me to retain water.

as long as i'm preparing the food at home..its incredibly easy to monitor calories and regulate my weight
