Doomsday is here.

Not sure I will be able to avoid the minefield of delectable delights that will be all around me the next few days.

Merry Christmas to all and welcome to all the soon to be New Years resolutioners.

I plan to. I didn't kill myself over T-giving. Heck I got 1600 calories of egg nog with my name on it in the fridge for tonight, so I will not be avoiding too many minefields as I said.

ugh. Things got ugly. 2 days of being so full I need to be carted around in a wheelbarrow.

Will be very interesting to see how massive the damage is and how long it will take to get back to 219.1.

Holy smokes! 227. Is that even possible? Ack Phbbt! Back to work.

Good lord! Even higher today. It seems like every single drop of water and food that entered my body, stayed in my body.

Oh well, no more holidays for me. Back in full hermit mode with no food.

Ha! Seems like I was the only one willing to get on the scale after the minefield of Christmas food.

Get back to work all of you!

Great job! Almost impossible to lose weight over Christmas.

Somehow I put on 10 pounds in 3 days. I assume a large chunk is water weight from the flood of sodium entering my system.

Oh well, it will come off. Back to full hermit no food mode. I won't be going out for New Years.

Still 5 pounds up from Christmas Eve. Luckily I won't have any major hurdles until Mardi Gras.

Good bye holiday season.

308/265, during Christmas I was a pillar of moderation and self control. Actually I got a gastro bug that gave me projectile diarrhea and sent me to the ER on Xmas night, I passed stuff I ate last summer.

I'll take progress anyway I can get it, 5 months in down 43, I'm happy. As soon as the cramps go away I'll be back to my 2 mile daily walk.

I dropped about 4 pounds thanks to a bug cleaning me out the week before XMAS.

I've been using the weather as an excuse not to walk. I need to get back to walking my 2 miles.

Well, I've lost 7 of the 10 pounds I gained over Xmas. I was going to skip the festivities tonight but now it looks like I am going to be heading out tonight.

Welcome to all of the resolutioners that will be joining us tomorrow.

i have enjoyed watching your posts here. you put the good bad and ugly. i'm out of town at my parents and they don't have a scale but i've been stuffing myself on lots of good la food so lord only knows the damage.

i think you're right..lots of people in 'hiding' right now..denial isn't just the river in egypt.

myth, you ralize by now you didnt gain 8 lbs in one day..just let them cells soak up that water and get back to what's been working for you and youy'll be alright.

ive fallen off the wagon a bit but i'm determined to get back under 200 by march so i can be in halfway decent shape for bike racing season. its both good/bad to train by myself..on the one hand i can go at my own pace and on the other, i can 'cheat' easier and no one is there to fuss at me for skipping a ride.

Actually it was 10 and it was about 5 meals over 3 days. My mouth had a mind of its own.

As penance, I've had about 650 calories a day for 4 days.

I gained 2 pounds over the holidays. I'm already back on track and am thinking of losing a few more pounds instead of staying in maintenance.

Happy new year everybody!

I know i am kind of late, but you do realize its salt/water/food retention that makes it look like you gained 7 lbs in one night. Just eat healthy the next two days and weigh yourself then. That would be your true weight.

(nm, i see after reading the thread it was addressed. great job anyway )

BTW, i started the new year in 2010 at 313 lbs. I am starting 2011 at 233 lbs!
