Day 1 of P90X complete. I finished 15 minutes ago and still think I might throw up at any minute.

i'm 5'9,
149.5
53

and skinny fat

my original goal last year was 150 and i have been at or near it for a long time. With Fat season approaching in 2 months I need to reset to 143 and get moving to absorb that 7-8 lb bulge.

That said, I'm not crazy enough to do insanity.

i need your kind of motivation apparently.
My clothes not fitting anymore motivated me when I couldn't button the damn button on my pants.

I've been pretty darn flawless for 2 straight weeks. A chunk of that 190 was water but plenty was real fat gain.

I'm going to 60 flawless days. Doubt I'll make it but I'll give it a shot.

Had an interesting experience today. Put on a pair of jeans that I haven't worn in a few months.. they were way too big, so I decided to put them at my belly button (i usually wear my pants a little lower), and they fit perfectly there, and I had the realization that my waist used to be that big around . Another interesting revelation I had was when I was moving, I was carrying a box that must have weight about 50 pounds upstairs to my apartment, and I still found it pretty easy to walk up the stairs.. I realized that even with that 50 pound box in my hand, I still was way, way lighter than I used to be when I struggled to get up stairs. Also, since I have been working out, my strength is way up, as is my stamina. I made it through moving day with just 1 water break, whereas prior to, I was having to stop every 10 minutes or so just because I was out of breath and tired. It's such a great feeling

Not a whole lot of movement on the scale lately. But to be honest I haven't been that strict on my diet either. Overall I guess I'm pleased. Last 2 mile race of the summer tomorrow. Last one I ran was 15:08, it would be nice to get below 15:00.

This is one of the most important statements on this whole thread. The biggest thing is starting, whether it is starting a diet, a exercise plan, or any other activity to get you to your goal. Good luck to you!

Thanks!

The wife and I completed day 2 of Insanity..I hope they give my legs a rest at some point. My quads have been on fire since finishing yesterday. 3 rounds of power squats today, and other crazy arse workouts with legs and I feel like crawling everywhere

PuttaDaForkDowners:

I'm sure this has been touched on, but I'm not reading through damn near 500 pages.

BUT, since I don't know that any of us have thyroid problems, or are on serious physician prescribed steroids, what is/was your typical pig out, overeating session? What did you eat, and how often?

FESS UP!

Mine: Family sized Spinach, Bacon Artichoke pizza and Family sized Cajun Combo pizza from Papa Murphy's. Typically, both pizzas consumed within 24hours (Dinner, Breakfast next morning, Lunch--if there was any left over).

OR

Mushroom Swiss burger, Chicken Fingers (with Honey Mustard), Fries, Fried Cheese from Brewbacher's. One sitting.

For me, a better question is what didn't I pig out on? I always pigged out and overate like a glutton. I would get taco bell at least 3 times a week, supplementing other times with whataburger or jack in the box or burger king. Then I'd go home and cook (and eat) a lot of spaghetti or rice and gravy or something along those lines. And I would always justify it by saying that I never got a large combo, but I always scarfed down the entire combo without a though about the calorie intake. I still have to fight myself mentally to not be a gluttonous overeater just because the food is good. I have to purposefully cook fairly bland food so that I don't go back and eat more or take bits and pieces of the food throughout the day.
