Once upon a time, their husbands worked with my husband. Those were the good old days.

It's a pretty great company to work for, imo. I think the experience varies depending what department you're in, though. I started here thinking I'd take a tech support job to hold me over til I could get a better job in BR, but after 2 years and a promotion to full time, then a promotion to a lot more technical role, I'm thinking about staying here and making it a career. I moved out to Prairieville in January because I was going to save a lot of money, planned on moving back to BR once the deal I got was up.. but now I think I want to stay closer to work. I guess they call it growing up, but lately I feel less need to do 'fun' stuff and do more stuff that will help me long-term. This is the first time in my life I have seriously contemplated staying at a particularly company for a long time. I've always wanted bigger, better, more.. but now I want that within this company because I see potential to move up and do some pretty extraordinary things on a day-to-day basis.

Yes, it sounds like you are growing up.

I lived in Ascension for most of my life and raised my kids there. I have no regrets. I know the AP takes some hits on the OT but what locale doesn't?

I can tell you from my experience that if you enjoy your job and your employer you will live a happy life. My husband has struggled to find the right combination in the past few years. I love my job and my employer. I don't make a lot of money, but money isn't everything.

My job will change over time, but my employer is great. Great benefits, good pay, and you can tell they actually appreciate the employees.

Blargh, ate well yesterday, rode four miles on the bike, played tennis for an hour and a half and it all led to....

A half pound gain. Oh well lol I've been at this long enough to know it happens and I'll see the results of yesterday later on.

My weight is all over the place, as high as 211 and as low as 205.5 in three days. A lot of water weight movement.

Yeeeeeah, back in the 250's. Hopefully I've said goodbye to the 260's forever.

It's been an interesting 24 hours to say the least. My dog somehow got off of his tie out last night. The tie out didn't break and neither did his collar. I guess the clip just came lose somehow. I really thought based on how things looked that he had been stolen by someone. Well I discovered him missing about 9:30 last night when I went to put him and my other dog up. We looked until 1:30 last night and I didn't see him or hear him anywhere. So I have to get up at 5:15 anyways for work and just got up at 4:45 to drive around one more time. I finally found him just happily walking down the street and he jumped right into the car. Stupid dog. I say that but if I hadn't found him before work I would have been a wreck.

Diet and exercise wise things have been great. I decided that I wouldn't fast yesterday to see how it impacted my run. It affected it big time. I'm on week five day two of couch to 5k and I did both of the eight minute runs like they were nothing. I didn't stop on the last run either, I went about 12 minutes. So I'm feeling pretty confident now about Friday which is the 20 minutes of straight running. I think some of the benefit has been coming from doing cycling on my off days too.

My freakout was a tad early. Lesson learned I've struggled the past few months and am trying to make one big, long push to 220 and it started out with that so I got frustrated as frick.

People who aren't trying to lose weight have no clue what a roller coaster ride this is. Physically and emotionally at times it can be draining. I look back at my weight loss at times and say "Wow, this is taking forever, If only I would have not cheated so much, worked out more blah blah blah" Not losing gound sometimes is just as important as gaining ground. Fine tuning diet, exercise and being comfortable with your appetite is quite a feat.

Down another lb. Its only Thurs but I'm dreading the weekend. Even one cheat meal lately seems to be a 3-4 lb gain, i too need to make a good long push to at least be consistently under 180.
