Yeah. I am trying to avoid killing it on the weekends, but I managed to do it anyway, but this time instead of copious amounts of alcohol, it was lots of food

228/211/175. 17 lbs in my first month. Vacation next week so it will be interesting to see how that goes. Gonna try to keep exercising and hope I don't go crazy on the food and alcohol. Only two cheat days last month.

lsucm, I too have a beach trip in a couple of weeks, lets knuckle down and get this done
Let's do this! I'm going to sand blast some pipe for a few hours. That should burn a few calories.

I wish my mistakes were limited to weekends.
I've been a mess lately.

I'm so.. so frustrated. I don't know what else to do. I've been logging everything I eat and staying under 1900 cals/day. Even when I cheated with BWW, my calories were 1910 or so. Yesterday I changed that to 1750 so we'll see if that helps. Is it possible the BMR is wrong for me and my metabolism is slower than that, meaning I need to reduce caloric intake more? Should I try reducing it to 1500 cals/day? I'm unsure, but I've never been so close to throwing in the towel and just accepting that this is the weight I'm supposed to sit at.
eta
Last few days I haven't really slept much. I know that my dad swells up and gets a bad fluid buildup when he doesn't sleep (has fluid problems.. salt puffs him up like a fish). For a normal, healthy person, will a lack of sleep cause water weight gain?
eta2
Or it's possible that I'm being impatient and I need to start weighing once a week instead of every morning. That's entirely possible.. in fact, the more I think about it, the more I realize this may be the case. I've been monitoring everything I eat for about 2 weeks.. and the first week or so I got all the way down to 273. Then I had a bad weekend and am up to 277.. I need to eat properly, log my food, and just not weigh for a few days at least.
Good talk.

Sometimes we're all a little crazy, bench. I talk to myself all of the time while I'm working or studying so that I can understand what's going on.. I find if I step back and say what I'm thinking it helps me realize whether or not what I'm saying makes sense. yes.. i confuse myself sometimes
My mind spins fast when I'm thinking too hard..

I know just what you mean Hulk. Usually I answer most of my own questions by the time I've stopped and read and thought about what I wrote.
I do think a lack of sleep can contribute to the gain though but how much it contributes I don't know. I wouldn't think it would be a lot.
Are you still lifting?

I lift once, maybe twice a week now. I haven't worked out much lately but that really shouldn't matter if I'm still creating a calorie deficit. I lost 80 or so pounds with 0 exercise.
Also, I'm not taking ANY supplements besides a little protein if I don't get my 150g minimum from food.

Logan,
I usually weigh myself every morning but the only weigh in I log into MFP is the Saturday morning one. I don't get upset over the fluctuations during the week. They will happen no matter how well you eat.
You may want to try just weighing in once a week just to keep your mind straight.
Also, sleep is a very important factor.
You have come so far. This is just a small speed bump in the road. You will be fine. Just continue logging your food and carry on!
ETA
Are you eating the same foods over and over? If so, change up what you eat. I tend to get stuck on the same breakfast and lunch foods. I have to remind myself to change it up.

Yeah I hear ya man. I wish I knew what to say to help but I'm at a loss. The only thing I could think is to drop your calories a little bit but you're right, technically you should be losing weight at 1800 calories a day.

Hulk, I think what alot of us do is a Cyclical Keto Diet. We are good M-F then cheat on the weekends. A 4 lb gain is normal doing this and by Tues at least half of that is gone for me. My Mon and Tues workout is very strong but by Fri I have depleted all my glycogen stores and with my reduced caloric intake during the week, and my workout is hard.
It seems us low carbers can stall after an extended period of time and from what I've read you need to really watch the calories. Even though the BMR may tell you 1800 I would try 1500-1600 and see where you are. Along with doing the fasts once a week I have also been doing a lean gains eating schedule where I eat all my food between 8am-4pm. I'm still working on it and it's not easy, my low a couple weeks ago was 181 and man it felt good. Just need to control my appetite. Just some things to think about. Keep at it

Thanks for the encouragement guys
Bosses are ordering everyone food today for lunch, fried chicken. I had to decline.
It's gonna suck when the whole office smells like Leader's fried chicken and I'm munching on a salad.

I work in the tech support. Official title is Network Operations and Systems Technician.. basically I'm the level 2 escalation for calls, and I work with the field techs and do a lot of provisioning on our devices.

One of my friends is an attorney and I'm not sure what Marla B. does there. It seems like she might be in tech support but I'm not sure.
