I like cottage cheese a lot. Not the fat free but the normal, but they both have too darn much sodium.

When I am not worrying about carbs quite as much, I eat a few Wasabi Almonds or peas. Those are both great but almost too good. Takes a lot of willpower to stop at the serving size.

Currently, I eat a pepperjack cheese stick when I need a snack about once a day.

I tried that sugar free jello crap that is just colored gelatin but wasn't impressed.

I just keep a giant quart sized cup full of ice and water around at all times and sip on that when hungry.

Keep at it. You will eventually bust through that damn thing. I've hit many just since this thread started at the end of September.

Good luck!

sugar free popsicles - 15 cals each

Almonds and Peanuts

Hummus with baby carrots

And lately fresh Satsumas in the morning. A couple of old black men set up a produce stand near my apt. a few days a week and lately their satsumas have been amazing.

Good morning!

323/229.1

Waiting for sunup so I can hit the levee for my walk.

Everyone try and behave this weekend.

I'm back. The walk wasn't too bad because I bundled up like I was headed for an arctic exploration adventure. Felt just like the younger brother in A Christmas Story.

232.4/215.8. Still stuck between 215-217. This weekend I will be heading to Ruston to watch the Tech Nevada game so I am sure there will be be a little eating and drinking.

I'm spending all day finishing a medical ethics paper and then my semester is pretty much over. Gonna hit the cardio and weights hard for the next month I'm off.

I somehow managed to maintain for this week. That is amazing considering how much homemade candy I consumed last weekend!

My favorite snacks are 94% fat free kettle popcorn with 1 tsp. of canola oil drizzled on top, Emerald cocoa roast almonds and Blue Bell mini ice cream sandwiches.

My favorite "healthy" chips are Lay's light chips and Pop chips in barbecue flavor.

Not easy to do at this time of year. Weighed in Friday morning and actually lost 1 pound after t-giving week plateau. Not bad I guess.

Had some Triscuit crackers in my desk at work. Had to throw them out. It is amazing how many calories are in just a few of those suckers.

Been rocking satsumas lately.

Morning all. Waiting for sunup to hit the levee for a walk.

323/227.6 Day 3 of me back on Atkins. Seems to be working just great.

Those flavored triscuits are evil. I could eat a whole box of those suckers. Those olive oil and rosemary ones are awesome.

I had one Monday that helped me drop some weight.

Crap!

Got up on the levee and my legs were a bit rubbery. Had about 0% energy. Decided to pack it in and take the day off.

222.0 this morning. The mini-plateau has broken. Can't wait to see the 2teens, hopefully by weeks end.

atkins is great for burning fat. you don't have to continue eating this way once you're at the 'station' (ie in the range you want to weigh) but people who stay away from atkins during the weight-loss process are just making things harder for themselves. its a scientific fact when your body is in ketosis that its burning fat for fuel and not sugar/carbs. this means you lose fat (not muscle tissue) so that 10lb loss is a better quality loss than beating your head against the wall eating 'low fat' foods.

plus you can literally eat a 1 1/2 lb steak at night and lose a pound the next morning when you weigh in.

just sayin' dont knock it if you haven't tried it. the point is to LOSE the weight and then enjoy yourself..not to spend the rest of your life dieting.

work your butt off. lose the weight. then enjoy your new weight and 'maintain' by watching the scale and regulating.

323/226.8

Getting pretty darn close to my insane goal of 220. I had no idea it would even be possible to lose 103 pounds from March 16 to December 31.

Also only 3.8 pounds from the CENTURY MARK!

I have been freaking starved the last couple of days.

The last 2 weeks I have slacked off on my walking and exercises. Not horrible, but not as good as I was doing. I need to have a good week.

Happy Monday to all!

do you have before and after pictures? 100 pounds is a huge accomplishment! most people only wish they could do that. congrats on getting so close!

do you want to lose more after that or are you done?
