Haven't checked in in a while due to little to report. Been very lenient with the diet for the past month or so and my weight been holding steady. Kicking it back into gear now and shooting to hit sub 200 by June.

WAIT FOR IT

...

after an entire YEAR (yes, 365 days) of stagnating at 190, over 300,000ft of climbing, 15,000+ miles of riding and over 30 races..

I finally broke through my 'non plateau' and hit

I was starting to think it was impossible to ever get below 190.

so i proudly (because i haven't had a new number in a year) present:

CAD703X, Congrats

This morning I broke the 225 mark! I went to the gym after weighing in, worked out and ran, and it feels great. I am going to keep 225 as my goal just incase it was a fluke. If I get two morning weigh-ins below 225, the goal will change.

Below is a quote I read to myself before going to the gym to get me motivated to run longer and improve my health. May not have the same meaning for everyone, but on days where I rather sleep in, it gets me out of bed.

“Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a lion or gazelle - when the sun comes up, you’d better be running.”

Great job CAD.

We've been patient with you. CT probably still wants that hot dog though. Myth will get nervous again about the race to 170. I will have to re-start the OM sprints and stop floundering around. Meanwhile H is cheating on hot dates now that he's a poser at the gym. plus we've got all this new blood keeping things lively.

When are you strapping Barbie on again?

wow you're firing on all cylinders

- where is CT? hiding in the baseball threads?
- myth has my arse kicked all over the place..i was ahead of him for about 8 minutes last year and all i've seen is the dust he's left me in ever since
- H is becoming quite the ladies man i hope he remembers his humble roots
- new blood is awesome! cant believe anyone would willingly wade into a 400 page thread

"hot date" didn't happen. Long story. But at least I saw the scale move down because I didn't cheat.

CAD.. it's the dimples. Ladies can't refuse my dimples when I smile.

CAD, do you still do a fast every week?

I'm up to about January of this year in the thread when you started talking more about doing a weekly one.

I'm thinking about doing one every weekend starting Saturday after dinner going to dinner on Sunday. Sunday will be the easiest day for me since it's usually my most active day which will make it easier for me to stay out of the house and away from food.

I know once football season comes back around that won't work at all but for now I think it will work best. Any more advice on fasting?

Brad Pilons research in Eat Stop Eat is pretty interesting and what CAD had posted in here about 20-30 pages ago? Anyway, you can have black coffee, water only and Pilon said you can do up to 2 24hr fasts a week. I have done a bunch of 1x a week fast and only one 2x a week fast.I'll usually drop 1-3 lbs. They get easier week to week, and to prevent any muscle loss, workout during your fast. Try to find Pilons "Eat Stop Eat".

255/224.0/225

My goal has been reached and confirmed after two morning weigh-ins being below 225.

Last time I was in this weight range I was 24, it's time to go for the weight I was at 21, 205. Beach trip coming up in July. If I am halfway there by July I will be pumped.

NEW GOAL: 255/224.0/205.
