from men's health

quote:

British researchers found that men who performed three strength-training workouts a week increased their muscle size by 0.2 percent a day. That may not sound like much, but it's the accumulation over time that will take you from scrawny to brawny. So think of every workout as an investment in your body: Build a little every day, and you'll be loaded with muscle in no time.

i love how on the rant people are bitching because the new lsu recruits are only doing 2 45-minute strength training sessions as week.

guess what folks? this working-out thing isn't as hard as people make it.

according to those numbers above, you will increase your muscle mass 1% every 5 days..by doing a couple quick strength sessions 2 or 3 a week.

Well, my bad luck isn't rubbing off on you then. I've never stepped into a casino besides to eat with my grandparents. With my luck I'll walk in with $100 and walk out empty handed or worse.

I'm going back tomorrow. LOL Need to escape -- just found out my aunt committed suicide. Her husband was in law enforcement (he's been dead several years) and had a lot of guns. She blew her brains out with one of them. We're baffled.

continuing the fun..

- ran into curb on bike before crit and blew out tube and bent rim so instead of warming up i was freaking out trying to fix the flat
- faded in the crit..finished probably in the high teens (didnt bother waiting around for results)
- had huge fight with ex when i got home..HUGE.
- phone call from my friend who's bike i just overhauled..chain fell off and she wrecked
- tmobile charged me hundreds of dollars for phones i never purchased and lines i never added so i spent 2 hours on phone straightening that out
- went outside to help my 10 year old daughter with her bike (her chain was jammed) and i turned the crank and shredded her thumb between the rear cassette and chain

so maybe y'all feel better now..?

eta i need a drink

eta2: i weighed in at 187.5 lets see if i can hold onto the 180s for my official weigh-in tomorrow..that would help my feelings.

Sounds like Hulk's bad juju got you too.

Hope things get better, CAD. Fourth of July almost here. Bet you'll be eating a hot dog . . . .but don't feel guilty or anything.

36.5 down, 5 more to go! So slow.
