being sick as a dog for the last 36 hours helped I guess, was expecting a 5 pound gain from going off the grid for the day before.
I am revising my goal after talking to my dr. I hope to wind up around 145-150, but according to the doc, my body type isn't going to lend itself to looking good or healthy much lower than 150ish. Guess I will be happy with that!
The day I started this, I took "before" pics, knowing that I was for real on changing my life. So, I took halfway "after" pics. Down around 40 pounds, it felt good to compare- I hadn't let myself look at tbe pics from the begginning, so to have them side by side was inspiring! Back on the train, here I go for my next 40!

OM sprints were interesting. actually went fast enough to bother a neighborhood dog. A barking dog at 5:30 am is not a good thing.

good job, Tide.

H, your link is the female version of marksdailyapple and archevore. Both have given me better options than strict Adkins dogma.

Before I get jumped, remember this only my opinion, which to me is rarely wrong.

I won't be the one jumping you. Remember I'm not following a strict Atkins diet anymore either. If I was to follow the "caveman" diet I'd eat more fruits than I currently am. I wouldn't mind doing that lol, but for right now where I'm at is kind of like Atkins rung 4 or 5. I have no more than 40 carbs per day. It's helping me learn what I can or can't eat, as in what makes me more hungry. What makes me want carbs, etc. Eventually I may throw in an apple a day or something like that.

Lost 1 more pound. That's probably it for this loss cycle, probably will have to wait another 7-8 days before I drop again. Probably will regain this last pound. But.. 32 pounds in 9 weeks ain't to shabby!

Tide- that is awesome and very inspiring. I have lost another pound and this is day 9. 8 pounds in nine days is not too bad. I am not sure what my goal weight should be either. It is probably smaller than 150 but I am going to go with that because that would be a 70 lb loss which would be wonderful. I have no idea what my ideal weight should be because I was a gymnast/athletic and have more muscle than an average person (it is just buried under fat). At 180 my friends claim that I look a little chunky and not fat but I am not that tall and have a small frame. I weighed 130 when I graduated high school and was very small.

I don't know what my ultimate goal is either. I set it for 250 for now, but I think 220 is where I want to be. But when I get to 250 I'll make that decision.

myth, you've nearly lost one of me and about a 135 lb tumor.

Not only are you a myth, you're a legend.

In the early 80's there was a rather large lady who had two 135 pound tumors removed and she survived the surgery. A friend of mine and I were each the size of a tumor. We could find no female volunteers to carry us around to mimic the situation.

It's really remarkable. I've always felt bad when I am with someone that literally ways half (or more!) of me. When you can double one person and equal you.. it feels pretty bad. Especially when some of the people that you can double are actually overweight. A girl friend of mine is 5'4 180 (she doesnt have internets, so I won't get killed for that! haha) and it dawned on me one day that I literally weighed two of her.. that was a tough pill to swallow. To lose 125 pounds.. holy crap. Now that I think about it, though, I want to be around 220.. and I may not even be happy with that. 220 would mean I need to lose 143 pounds.. Now I need to lose 111 pounds to get there! Long way to go, but I've taken it one day at a time and it's been very successful so far

You are an inspiration myth! If you can lose 135, I can lose just as much (and more!)

Down 0.8 this week at WW meeting for 31.4 total.

279.8/248.4/164

Not a huge loss, but a loss. Had a wedding last night and ate Izzo's for dinner Thursday so a victory for sure. Assuming I would have lost more if it weren't for the sodium on Thursday and Friday.

Drank water and 1 diet coke at a wedding with a full bar!
