And yes Lester, after 14 months on a diet, I am a little grumpy today.
In the spirit of unity I will say I am sorry if I went too far Lester. We can just agree to vehemently disagree.

TBH I can see truth in what both of you are saying. Exercising while you're losing weight will help you gain/maintain muscle while you're losing and so once you do lose you'll actually be in better shape. Being in shape doesn't necessarily mean being the lower weight, but that physically you're able to do things..
And in Myth's case, it was best for him to not exercise a whole lot while he lost the vast majority of his weight and get in better shape later on.
Personally, I'm trying to do some exercise but I think my "interval" training was too rough. I STILL have shin splints and it hurts like a son of a bitch, so once that stops hurting so much I'll do it again but instead of 20 minutes I may just go 10.

I have to keep reminding myself to be patient..

Hulk,
The shin splints aren't from over-exercising, but the impact involved. Until you drop some more lbs, you need to keep it low-impact. I forget what exercise you did, but if it was running, that is murder on the shins for a big man.

Wow, Ive been away for a few days and it got a little hostile. Maybe you two are both right? Some people who are of a certain size need to lose a good bit before they start working out so they don't have too much going on too soon. As far as me personally, I went 2 months just dieting, had good results but my main goal was to be healthier and stonger overall and that took adding excericse. So glad I did, I have felt 100% better since adding exercise. And, as an added benefit, it makes the weight come off that much wuicker (only if you are doing cardio/interval-not weights/adding muscle obviously) As a woman, I just want to tone up, not be a jughead. Seemed like when I started working out, clothes started fitting better and my skin got better too, and I FELT better. So for me, it was a no brainer...
On the other hand, you got to do whats right for you. If Myth wants to wait til the end and get in better shape, and it by all means it is working for him, then I am not going to say he's wrong. Nor should anyone else
If I can work side by side with Auburn fans (
) this past week, ANYONE should be able to get along! For reals though- it has been an amazing week, would like to thank everyone for the help. I hope had it been the other way, I would have gotten over myself and headed to the plains to do what I could.

I do but the flavor is way too powerful for my taste. It's overpowering. If I put them on the back of my tongue they're pretty good. It doesn't help that I get those little ulcers on my tongue fairly often because my tongue is too big for my mouth and I bite it all the time on accident :(

My momma used to say that if you lied, your tongue would swell up in your mouth and choke you. Are you a liar, Hulk?
