By the way, if any of you Atkins folks have not tried Oopsie Rolls (just Google it), do yourself a favor.
I made a few batches this weekend. They are nothing but eggs and cream cheese, but have the consistency of bread. They taste and feel more like thin pieces of unsweetened sponge cake than anything else I could think of.
We used them as hamburger buns friday night. It wasn't as good as a normal bun, but at least allowed us to hold our burgers like a real burger.
The best use we found was when I made french toast out of them on Sunday morning. We used just a smidgen of sugar free syrup (no net carbs, but I usually count total carbs) on them. My wife is a huge french toast fan, and actually said this was better than most regular french toast she's had.
The other awesome use was making some extra thin oopsie rolls, adding some splenda sweetened whipped cream in one and rolling it up like a crepe. That was delicious and will knock out any sweet craving. I didn't even dig into my kids' Easter baskets.

Up 3.5 in four days is what I get for premature e-celebration when I broke through the nonplateau.
Back on the wagon today,if my membership has not expired. trying to avoid sharp objects though as i'm puffed like balloon.

I'll have to look these up Bham. I had a KILLER sweet tooth last night, I managed to fight it off with some splenda-sweetened iced tea I found at wal mart the other day.. but it didn't really sate it, just helped a little.
I am not usually a sweets guy but when the sweet tooth comes a-knockin' it gets rough.
And you'd cheat once a month and do induction and then lose again? Wonder how that works.. I've seen some places recommend cheating once a month to "shock" the system, and others say no, stick to it and don't cheat ever. Makes you wonder.

So like I said it makes me wonder. I've done some reading on various forums (haven't looked up any articles or anything yet) and it seems a fair number of people actually do this and have good losses after their "cheat". It's not really a cheat though, they call it carbo-loading. They say don't go overboard and eat like 600 carbs in a day, but more towards 100 or so and then go back to a strict amount of carbs afterwards for a loss.. I want to find some articles on it and see what I can come up with, but this is interesting indeed.

So we cooked a roast in the crockpot and threw in the customary carrots, celery, onions etc... and the veggies cook in the juices and taste amazing.
Do they absorb a significant amount of the fat of the roast? Just curious

Probably so, but I wouldn't really know.

lets see..8 eggs & 1lb sausage for breakfast at 630am (for the kids..the kids..not sure how much i ate but plenty)
- after church..gorgeous day so came home and grilled out..2 ribeyes and multiple cheddarwursts.
- easter egg hunts! after about 5 of these i had probably eaten 10 eggs with salt.
- dinner..yep thats right..why stop there huh? another ribeyes and strawberries & cream.
dear lord it was ugly
199 today and i deserve every ounce of it. i had a rocking day on the bike saturday too which sucks..
oh well, easter was alot of fun with the kids. i still cant believe i ate all that..this what happens when you 'graze/snack' all day long..you consume massive amounts of food.
eta actually i did it to give myth a sporting chance before i come back and blow his door off

I think I'm going to enter this race with the two of you. You have 14 left to go, I have 16.5 left to go, and Myth has 9?. I know I can take you cheating mofos.

After eating A LOT yesterday (ended up eating another dinner after the bike ride and a piece of coconut cream pie - AFTER the 7 mile bike ride up hill and dale), I went for my .25 mile swim this morning and I still weighed between 224-225 - no weight gain. Maybe it helped that through my weekend long pig out, I exercised every day as well. That is new for me.
Anyone have any experience with how these holidays affect your body chemistry?

Maybe there should be a TD puttaforkdown facebook fan page, where ppl can put before/ after pics, and along the way pics...it would be interesting to put a face on some of you! :)
I had to work all weekend, so I lucked out and missed not one but 2 family get-togethers, which was def good for the diet-pretty sure I'm the only person in my family to even utter the word diet :) My official weighin will be Wednesday, actually looking forward to it this week, I am down another pants size! Getting lots of compliments, which makes me blush ;)

We're going to have to move this thread to another board. I always leave here and see all of these threads about amazing food. This morning, I hit the "return to board" button and see:
tomato gravy and homemade biscuits
Man, that sounds good.

on the road to recovery from my calcarbsodium filled Easter. It was not a detour but a mere bump.

Thanks a great idea. I am down for making a group, would anyone else join up?
Freaking Meaty.. I'm off today so I wanted to sleep in. Dude wakes me up early to go piss, I tell him leave me alone it's raining outside. He keeps pestering me til I take him outside. He sees the rain and stops dead in his tracks and refuses to piss even once I take him into the rain.. what an a-hole. The moral of the story is..

rock on dude. i've only lost 61 in a year & 1/2. you're halfway to me.
keep up the freaking good work. you'll be able to randomly grab $15 shorts and shirts at target without trying them on first before you know it.
eta and as a cautionary tale; once you're down to your target weight..keep an eye on the scales. at the rate you're losing you'll be at your desired weight within a year..but the more important goal here is what happens ***NEXT*** year. alot of people lose weight over a year and then lose focus..what you do the next year (maintenance year) is the most important part of this whole process.
eta2 and we'll be here to continue to ride your arse so don't think you're getting away with anything after you've lost the weight.

LOTS more to lose than you had. I plan on getting down to 220. Probably will take over a year.
