While you're all off eating and cheating I'm home by myself and made a delicious green bean and hamburger casserole

Yesterday was the cheat. Hamburger, slice of cheese and spinach for lunch. Tuna, avocados and spinach for dinner. So I am back on the wagon.

Keep the faith Hulk. Stay strong!

1 pound ground beef
2 14-ounce cans French cut green beans, well-drained
4 ounce can mushrooms, drained
1 small onion, diced, 2 1/2 ounces
2 stalks celery, diced
1/4 cup mayonnaise
8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

Brown the hamburger, onion, celery and mushrooms; drain the fat. Mix all ingredients in a 2 to 2 1/2 quart greased casserole. Bake, uncovered, at 350º for 40 minutes until hot and bubbly.

Makes 6 servings
Do not freeze

Per Serving: 375 Calories; 28g Fat; 23g Protein; 7g Carbohydrate; 3g Dietary Fiber; 4g Net Carbs

Jealous?

I threw shredded pepperjack on top and it crusted over VERY nicely.

I joined today. Yesterday was my bad day and if it weren't for those darn jalapeño poppers it would have been a decent day other than the sodium in the crawdads

Big meal today. I ate everything - potatoes, bread, cheese, banana pudding. I had given up everything but meat, fruit, and vegetables for Lent. I probably gained 5 pounds. But, this was all planned over a month ago.

But, that was it. It's on for the next 2 1/2 months till my birthday. I'm going for a bike ride now.

My goal is to do a sprint triathlon on my birthday - 700m swim, 3 mile run, and 12 mile bike ride. I think I can do it. We'll see.

I'm not weighing myself again until like Wednesday, though. I don't even want to know right now.

Well, after a "I don't care what it is, I'm eating it", I stepped on the scales and they actually exploded, springs out the side, pointer needle thru the ceiling. Ugly scene for sure

Funny.

Somehow I am sure this is an exaggeration.

Just back from my 15 mile ride. Hopefully that gets some of that sodium out of my belly.

celebrated the the most important day in my religion by ingesting huge amounts of sodium. sodium lace protein at every turn. low carbs but feeling blowfish again. My child encouraged me into a mile walk and I worked in the yard for 3 hours. then I found a few (2 so far) reeses easter egs (tiny footballs). "Pure awesomeness" to quote Brian Wilson.
eta 1900 cals, 100 carbs and over 3100 sodium.

After my uber fattening, carb and sugar filled lunch, I lay comatose on the couch watching my Celtics finish off the Knicks. I didn't want to get up. I wanted to sleep, rest, take the day off. I earned it, I thought. But, I knew if I didn't get up, one day off the wagon would turn to two, then three, then a week. So, I got up, got my mind right, and did a 7 mile bike ride. I feel better.

Ready to start again.

What the heck is that crap doing in your apartment? Must toss that crap out!

And if it belongs to the roommate tell him he has to keep that crap under lock and key.

Yeah it's the roommate's. The ice cream goes untouched but if I took any of his cookies he probably would chop my hands off

I hope I drop soon. I didn't get the 30 pounds in 2 months like I wanted, but 27 pounds isn't bad either.

Looks like most on here had happy Easters (some a little too happy). I was actually Atkins compliant this weekend, but have a planned cheat coming up Friday. My wife and I are going to Six Flags with some friends, so we decided we would just use this as a cheat day for convenience. I started on March 9th and have not cheated (including my Birthday and Easter) so I'm due.

In the past, when i did Atkins, a cheat day once a month followed by a couple of days of hard core induction would result in some quick weight loss. We'll see if my "over the hill" body reacts the same way as my "still climbing the hill" body did.
