as for the chart, right click your chart (after you've set it to use your daily weigh in #s as data) and say "add trendline". its pretty simple.
I'm using 07 and this option doesn't come up when I right click
ETA: Never mind, I see you have to click on a data point to bring up the option. According to this I'll be a malnourished ethiopian by the end of the year

yeah it is definitely cool for the short term..as u can see i struggled to always stay 'below the line' and those times i was way above it was embarrassing. now y'all can laugh at me too
keep in mind as you slow down weight-wise..the trend line change saccordingly..you want to always be pulling the line 'down'..not up

I FINALLY lost another pound! I was stuck on 230 for 12 straight days while still eating mostly lean meat, fruits, and vegetables with just a little whole wheat/grain bread once in a while. This was huge because I have not been below 230 in over 5 years.
Great that you got past that barrier
It's almost like the universe was testing your patience

Non-sweetened coffee
I drink 2 cups a day and split a packet of splenda between them. It's the perfect sweetness. Then again, it doesn't bother me to drink it black. If you're one of those people who enjoys a little coffee with your cream and sugar, it would be difficult to have Atkins friendly coffee.

I steer clear of coffee now
Coffee in general

Is splenda considered acceptable on atkins?

By the way Hulk, my numbers from my dr. appointment looked good.
I have a genetic issue that causes the docs to watch my tryglicerides closely. Before medication and diet, they were a whopping 900. The bigger issue was that mine were lower than either of my two brothers.
They checked out at 139 on Monday.
I can't give too much credit to Atkins. In April of last year, I got down to 235 lbs. using Weight Watchers and the tryglicerides were 130.
As my dr. put it, it doesn't matter how I lose it, getting rid of the fat is the best way to fight my genes.

Just wondering. I drink about 8 small cups of coffee a week and lately I've been using splenda to sweeten...
Wonder if I should replace honey with splenda in my oatmeal to sweeten it up?

i might grow a third arm tomorrow or start pooping purple turds, but so far i've used a TON of splenda with no adverse effects.
i'm a coffee whore as well..8 cups sounds about right for me in a day

The thing is, Atkins is a high-fat diet, and triglycerides are a measurement of the fat in your blood. As it is a high-fat diet, triglycerides can take a slight rise, but they still should not be incredibly high. Everything else should get much better.
And yikes, 900?! My dad was over 1100 when he had each of his heart attacks. I have lots of heart attacks in my genes as well, another big motivator.
Powerman; that's entirely up to you, but I would. You'll be cutting a fair amount of sugar. Though it may not taste quite as good.

Well it's in the morning and it's only one serving a day and only on weekdays. I'm not going to worry about cutting the honey just yet. I can't obsess too much about it or I won't stick with it.

not to start an atkins recipe thread here..but take a package of shelled pecans, mix up some butter with splenda and cinammin, dump pecans in and mix them around..bake for 20 minutes or so in oven...DELICOIUS.
i'll try & dig up exact portions and temp
1 egg white
1 teaspoon water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
12 packets Splenda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
4 cups pecan halves
Preheat oven to 225 degrees. Beat egg whites, water and vanilla until foamy. Add the Splenda and cinnamon. Stir the pecans into the eff white mixture to coat. Spread pecans in a single layer on a baking sheet coated with a no-fat cooking spray. Bake for 1 hour, stirring three times. Allow cooling completely on the baking sheet. Store in an airtight container.

i know i'll get whacked..but i actually would say stick with the honey. honey has alot of good health benefits..and yes its pure sugar..but i do honey occasionally as well. i dont think it hurts me like say a coke with HFCS

hehe I have plenty of Atkins recipes that I want to try out. I've tried a couple and they've been delicious.. I need to get paid x.x

Yeah or even white table sugar for that matter
I was thinking it would be worth it to keep it for the health benefits since it's a pretty small serving anyway. If I can't burn off a teaspoon worth of honey in a day then I have bigger problems to deal with.

i stick with very simple ones..there's lots and lots of delicious foods you can make without heavy carb ingredients..my kids love these pecans too..they say they dont make them feel sick at their stomach like they do when they eat ones made with lots of sugar.
