Can you bring an ice chest with your own food and maybe a cast iron skillet?

Then you could steak it up. And have a side salad from the ice chest. Bring string cheese for snacks.

Havent cheated atkins so far. sunday is going to be a challenge at the funeral home, but my grandparents dont live far away do if i get hungry i will run to their house and eat. Most people would excuse themselves from the diet but i want this so bad. And i know my mom always wanted me to be happy, and im not going to be entirely happy until im comfortable with my body. She wouldnt want me to mess up the momentum im gathering.

Great job Hulk. If you do crack a bit, DO NOT BEAT YOURSELF UP. You are dealing with something none of us can even imagine until it happens.

So with all the emotions, guilt is one I don't want you to even THINK about.

Just be with your family and friends. The diet will still be here when you get back. We will keep it warmed up and ready to go.

I can bring an ice chest, but probably not cool to be cooking myself a steak in front of everyone else.

I'd rather be a little more discreet than that. Also, the ice chest will only be useful as long as the original batch of ice lasts.

Good luck Hulk. I admire your committment. However, as Myth said, the main thing is just hanging out and loving on your family.

Ok, a pack of hot dogs with no buns. If you guys have a fire there is nothing tastier than a fire cooked dog. Chances are they will be eating those too.

Last trip, all meals were served in a meal hall, so there was no reason for hot digs. The only thing we did over a fire was smores.

However, if I bring enough for anyone else who may want one, I see no problem with cooking a couple of weiners over the fire while everyone else cooks marshmallows.

My bigger concern is a filler for lunch when there is no campfire and limited time between events.

Jerky and canned meats are the only things I can really think of. I know they are not good for me as far as the nitrates and other bad stuff, but at least I should be able to control the carbs.

For a rare meal, the jerky and beef should be ok as long as it hasn't been flavored with carbs.

String cheese will keep so bring a pack of those. The pepper jack ones are decent enough.

Been awhile since I checked in. Finally broke the 20lb loss plateau! Had a good friend in town last week and I let him set me back a couple of pounds. Back at it now though. 01/03/2011---245.6/225.3.

Weight loss is steady as I am averaging 1.75 lbs per week fo the last 8 weeks. This is how it is supposed to be right?

What scares me is that after you subtract for the 250 to 300 calories I burn a day working out, I only take in about 1100 calories a day. But I guess as you get closer to your goal weight loss gets harder.

HAve to keep telling myself to be patient. U have the rest of your life to eat healthy. But I am anxious to realize my goal weight.

survived Disney with zero weight gain/loss, though the wallet is substantially thinner. It's Magic. Hours each day of being herded like sheep was good cardio. BTW Disney is not a small world. moto-scooter inventor made a killing.

It amazes me how many people WILL NOT WALK.

The only way I would ever ride a scooter is if I had a broken leg or severe back pain.

Feeling a little sore from the bike mishap yesterday.

Are you sure god isn't telling me not to ride a bike? First the trouble with Wal-Mart and now I wipeout in front of the apartment gate before even getting out of the complex.

Got my own metric allen set last night so I have now tightened everything up. Going to go over every screw a little later to make sure nothing is loose. Not 100% sure I can ride today my had hurts like crazy when I put pressure on one spot.

Weight is coming off verrrrrrrry slow now even on Atkins.

Sorry your new bike kicked your arse, Myth. No, really, that's not funny. Once you start riding the bike, you'll start losing again. I have faith.

Give yourself a couple of days to recover. You only have 15 more pounds to go!!!

Yes it is.

Couldn't even get out the gate without killing myself.
