Pancake syrup just didn't hit for me. I tried it a while back. Just tasted like a bunch of artificial sweeteners mixed together.
I'm sure that's as good as it can get for 0 calories though

Have you tried the Heinz reduced sugar ketchup? It's what I use on keto and it's really good. Definitely the same consistency as regular ketchup, tastes almost the exact same... 5 cals per serving and only 1 carb...

Thanks glad to be here... except when I'm hungry... then I'd rather be elsewhere on the food and drink board. Looking forward to sharing and seeing yalls progress!

More controversial is whether should take BCAA during fast. Berkhan says yes, others say no, as BCAA in insulinogenic, and us ketards prob don't want insulin produced at the expense of GH.

quote:Yeah, I usually go with one of the sorbitol based sugar free pancakes syrups. I suspect I don't use a big enough for it to be an issue. Just something to go with the cream cheese pancakes or whatever.

The Great Stevia Controversy of 2017,...... never forget.
I have a packet and a half. Not sure how damage that's doing. Can't be bad.
What's good is Blue Oak tomorrow after the Scramble at Lakewood. Pretty sure we'll be partying hard on the course, in the sun, with beer, and food, and other party favors (legal in most states).
I want to remind everyone that this weekend is Hogs for the Cause (a keto friendly event). Possibly a PuttaDaForkDown GTG. Celebrity guest brisket judges include busbeepbeep.

stay under 50 cals in a fast and you are fine. A splash of stevia is not going to ruin your diet/fast.... if that small pack of stevia saves your sanity for the morning by all means use it.

Got on the scale today and was down to 187.2!!
The pain train keeps on keeping on for me.
Started March 1 at 208 and feeling sluggish and sloth like, now starting to feel better. I am sleeping better and having more energy. Feel guilty if I don't do any exercise.

That is fantastic, sms! more than 20 lbs in a month! What is your ultimate goal? Do you have a number in mind yet? Or just seeing where your body lands?

congrats! Stay at it.. it is a lifestyle change. That weight can go back on quick as it came off. What is your goal weight? The weight loss will slow down soon, dont get frustrated.. change some things up when it does

165 is the target
The loss has started to slow down already actually, but I am just trying to stay about 1.5-2 lb week until hit target.
I will stay under a certain cal intake, but I know I may gain as the protein will add mass, to me now it is more about the look rather than the loss after the first month.

1-2 lbs is a perfect goal weekly and very substainable. And yes, the scale doesnt tell the whole story. I rarely use the scale... during the summer months i weigh almost as much as i do in the winter months, except my belt is about 2 notches looser Stay exercising and eating right... it will pay off!

The honey dijon dressing isn't terrible

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that!
The only think I really eat ketchup with is burgers, but it's nice to not feel like I'm eating salad dressing at every meal.
I haven't tried the pancake syrup, because I haven't been brave enough to try any of the keto pancake recipies. I think I would rather just remember pancakes the way they're supposed to taste.

gonna try some pancakes with almond flour. Anybody have any ideas for keto pancakes? Got some of the Walden Farms syrup. Went to the newer Rouses in Mandeville and they have a good selection of their products.
