Still feeling my way through keto. I think I overly stress about hidden carbs in some things. Haven't weighed. Just trying to be consistent

Best advice I got was "don't chase the ketones"

I wouldn't worry about hidden carbs either. As long as you're staying away from the obvious stuff, you'll be fine.

Also, don't forget it takes between 8-12 weeks to become 80% keto adapted, and it can take months to become full on keto adapted. Just give it time.

I'm jumping in tomorrow on the keto train. A coworker and I. Think my wife is on board too.

I fell off this past few days. Tomorrow I'm going back hard. Only cheat I foresee is the super bowl. After that hopefully I'll make it 3-4 weeks before another

Welcome to the mental clarity and no mood swings club! - side effects may include an inadvertent loss of weight.

Check out the r/ketoscience page. Lots of good info still floating around in there. The Keto sub can be a fatties crying sub sometimes.

For instance. My dad smoked a briscuit that I really want to partake in but one of the things he seasoned it with was brown sugar

Does that take it out of the running for keto? Not worry about it? So many decisions

Yes, although you could stay away from the bark and still enjoy it.

Got yard bird prepped for Mon-Thurs.

Fasting Friday until dinner with some of my friends gonna keep it low carb then as well + some bourbon.

Not skipping days in the gym at all this week. Should be a good one.

Got 3 pounds of bird boob baked, two whole zucchini and 2 whole yellow squash cooked down for a side, and my cabbage goulash.

260 is gonna be my bitch.

RFL gets hard sometimes but the rate at which you lose weight is addictive.

You need to get used to not being heavy/fat, and being more fit.

When you stop thinking of yourself as overweight, and sort of in shape, you're pretty much there.

rfl is very high protein, very low fat and carb. It's a modified fast.. I eat about 800 calories a day in protein, and only veggies besides that. The fat flies off but you're relegated to eating basically nothing but chicken/turkey breast, pork Tenderloin, lean fish and seafood, and veggies. 2 days a week I get a 'free' meal where I eat a normal meal. Lift weights twice a week, little cardio.

It's tough to adhere to at first but I lost like 10 pounds in a week.

Eta

I also fast until lunch every day

I've been fat my entire life so.. It'll definitely be a while before I can ever do that.

I can't even imagine what that's like. I know other people are starting to perceive me that way, but it's so hard to get out of the "I'm fat" mindset. I'll give it a try.

Adding 30min of walking on the treadmill every morning this week. Knee has been hot so I'm laying off the running.

Also - I ate about 12 ABTs last night - can't believe my weight is down
