I think they popped up around late July last year. Insane.

Crown Valley Imperial Pumpkin Smash, and Pumpkinator.

Those are the best two, in my opinion.

I'm not a huge fan of lighter bodied pumpkin beers.

The only Pumpkin beer I've tried is Wasatch Pumpkin Ale. It was decent.

Their black-o-lantern was better. It's a pumpkin stout

I made a pumpkin saison last year. I still have about a 1/2 case left. They came out pretty good.

Wait a minute, I think I could have mixed up the pumpkin stout & pumpkin ale.

Isn't the black-o-lantern rather spicy?

Thanks to seasonal creep, pumpkin beers are essentially year round beers. Pumpking can be found on a good number of supermarket shelves for most of the year.

Because it tastes good no matter what time of year. Most of the "pumpkin" taste is due to pumpkin pie type spices. I just haven't seen any out yet. I've been craving one for some reason. Gonna try punkinator this year. I saw a pumpkin chocolate stout online but it seemed too heavy.

well they are supposed to be fall seasonals, but it seems like it has become a race to see who get theirs out first each year now

like others have said, they start showing up in July now

you can have them all, I haven't found one that I enjoy yet, other than a few sour pumpkin beers

Fixed.

I have found pumpkin beers to be one of the more divisive categories of beers. Love em or hate em.

What are the seasonal rankings?

IMO

1) Fall
2) Spring
3) Summer
4) Winter
