Publix subs really are in their own class.

Publix subs and Publix, in general, are a thing of beauty.

They're excellent and inexpensive.

Publix is definitely one thing I miss about living in Florida. I like Rouses, but it's not in the same ballpark.

The Publix tuna sub is the worst one I've ever had.

The others are fine, but nothing special.

The overall Publix obsession is a bit funny.
Everything is more expensive.
Publix "brand" stuff is for the most part not that good.
Produce and meat departments are middle of the road.

I get it that they are clean, nice people, etc. Maybe that's a novelty in Louisiana. but the Krogers or Super Targets where I am are superior.

The Publix bread is what puts it above all the other sub shop chains.

I asked a lady at the customer service desk why their prices are so high and she informed me to go to the Publix website/ app and look at all the coupon offers, both by manufacturers and in-store coupons. They also have special printed coupons on flyers in-store.

Who has time for that?
