I have the refrigerator unit from that set that I bought damaged years ago. Cracked corner on the granite and a dent on the back. $200. Works like a champ.

Someone gave us one of those. It fell apart. We bought a weber natural gas at Goodwood hardware and that thing is a beast. Hubs friend legit started a huge grease fire in it. Cleaned it up and it is like nothing ever happened.

I kept the grill until I finally got tired of buying stuff every year and bought a Weber Genesis and put the Char-Broil to the curb, vowing to never own another one again.

Your story is similar to many, many others and is not unusual.

BGE owner—gotta be going on 10 years soon and for that reason I say it IS a inexpensive option. Especially seeing that I use it OFTEN. Buy in high. Live with low.

The ceramic kamados do last. My Primo Kamado is 18 and still going strong. I got a Char-Broil many years ago that was a good grill but they make crap now. I won a Char-broil smoker and it's useless. Just a poor design.

I've had the expensive stainless grills with the blue lights on the knobs and side sear burner.. I've had the $2000 cooktop grill that fits into the custom patio island.. all broke and went to shite.
There is nothing I can't do on this little cheap, 3 burner char-broil that I couldn't on the big expensive ones. And after 4 years, so far all I have had to do is change the grates out.
