I know this probably should go under food section, I was just curious as to what the board's preference is

You are talking about two completely different things.
What are you trying to do?

Crock pot
I’ve never used a pressure cooker though

Pressure cooking yields almost identical results as slow cooking, but in a shorter amount of time. So I don't really know if they're two different things.
It moreso depends on your schedule.
Crock pot is the answer for slow cooked recipes when you work all day and want to eat the minute you get home. Instant Pot (pressure cooking) is the answer when you want something slow cooked but don't have the schedule to slow cook. You can get it done in less than an hour.

I saw a Tom and Jerry cartoon where Tom left the pressure cooker on too long and it exploded and sent food all over the kitchen
so, crock pot
so, crock pot

Instapot
Primarily a pressure cooker but doubles as a crock pot.

Gf has a Hohm pressure cooker. It cooks faster than an Instapot. All recipes online are for Instapot.
They work really well, and are easy as hell. You just press whatever meat button and time, and it does what it does. Meat is always very tender.
Bad part about it, is that she hasn't figured out how to get the flavors into the meat. I just eat, so idk about that

Neither. Cast iron Dutch oven

Whatcha mean by this?
I did short ribs in the Instant Pot last week (regular red wine braised). They tasted exactly like the traditional ones I do in a Dutch oven.
That said, the real beauty of the Instant Pot is the ability to sear/saute in the pot before pressure cooking. If you're not able to do that in the thing you have, you're not going to get all of the flavor that comes from scraping the fond from the bottom of the pot.

It's all about pressure and time.

I've never heard of this until this thread, but I need to look into it.
Wife and I use the crockpot all the time, but it sucks when we don't think to use it until like 5 o'clock. By then you just have to wait to eat that recipe the next day unless you want to be eating at midnight.

You can sear/Brown in a stovetop pressure cooker. Instapot is not special in this regard.
