Last minute, but tonight isn’t Southeasterns graduation.. just a small ceremony for a friend finishing a nursing program.

Originally had Jacmel Inn reserved but it was for 8:30 and they place closes at 9. Don’t want to feel rushed.

It does not need to be as nice as Jacmel. Can be casual.. just somewhere 5 people can sit and eat and have some celebratory drinks.

Buddy's
Kirin
One Thirteen (it's new and I haven't been but looks really fun/good)

I’d go to the Steakhouse and then courtyard cafe for dessert and coffee (Tope La is right there but I haven’t been for a while either)

I ate at the Steak House with a large group some years ago and recall it being good. The chargrilled oysters were quite good at the time.

It was casual. I think it had some brick walls. I remember thinking it looked like a storefront turned into a restaurant.

ETA: I found my post on the Steak House. It was about 6 years ago.

Tommy's then The Crescent for Styrofoam cups full of old charter and water.

The true Hammond way.

Jacmel is pretty laid back around closing so it shouldn't be an issue. I have never had a bad meal at tope la, so maybe that other poster just had a bad night. I find the steakhouse meh, seems like my steaks are never of good quality.

I really don’t like jacmel
To me the food is mediocre and the service is often unfriendly.
it is a beautiful place though

Yeah because Murphy's and Don's ain't getting it done. It's either poor service or bad food.
