CFA forces their operators to be in their stores, it’s in their contracts. It’s literally their full time job.

They have to be there 40 hours a week. Can only own two stores if you are married, and your spouse has to put in 40 at the second store.

Can't own another business either. So you are in Chick-fil-a for your entire income.

May have changed some, but these were the rules 10 years or so ago.

One guy owns all of the Lafayette locations (3) and the new one being built in New Iberia.

Maybe he got grandfathered in or something, because he opened the first one in Lafayette in 1979.

I had one in Prairieville on Thursday. Staff was quick and polite, which is normal for this location. While I waited at the window for about 3 minutes for my PSCS and red beans and rice, overheard a discussion inside about Popeyes discontinuing employees getting a free meal for working a full shift. I asked the girl when she handed me my food when this happened, she said ""today" with a sad look on her face. That is some bullshite, what does that cost corporate, like 1 buck?

I think that is great that they allowed a free meal per full-time shift. However, like anything that is free it gets taken advantage and the good need to suffer for the bad. Charge employees and offer 20%.

How much does that cost corporate? $1 x 3100 stores times roughly 40 employees per location = $124,000 a year at a minimum. Not a big deal? I would say roughly $10 per employee is stealing or giving away based on ”yo I getz deez fo free” if it is $10 per employee that's $1.24 Million.

Dude. They work for a huge corporation that can afford to feed them cheap meat once a day. And if they are stealing fries and a chicken tender every so often, fine. They make no money. What's with all the racist crap in your post? And why do you want people's job benefits cut? Free food at work is awesome.

And if you (or anyone) have ever worked in a restaurant, and then you tell me you have never taken a fry, then you better know your maker will judge your lying arse harshly.

Guess you do not own a business to understand margins and profits. Guess it's okay to give food away to yourself and all your friends that visit you. Sure it's corporate. About $.15 of a dollar goes to the corporate office bc the local store is owned by a local who is running his business. Theft affects the bottom line has nothing to do with corporate Popeyes! Where does it stop before the owner needs to put controls in place? Think before you respond.

They do not work for a large corporation. They work for franchisees, small business owners who operate on very slim margins as it is. "Cheap meat"? Yeah, on top of the money that is skimmed off the registers and the food that they eat or send out to their friends that come in, let's give them some of that "cheap meat". Have you ever seen a restaurant's P&Ls?

And there is nothing racist in my post. I am all for their benefits. The ones who actually show up to work usually see progressive raises, upward mobility, paid vacation, health and dental benefits etc. Like literally if you want to stand out from your peers, just show up to work and you will reap the benefits.

So glad we in BR got the early extended rollout period..

Wall Street raises Popeyes projections for the Qtr 8%, as Popeyes blazed through a projected 7 week national supply in just two weeks. The sandwich accounted for 30% of all sales while lasted.. Their Twitter subscribers went through the roof.

NY Post - Popeyes Summer of 2019 Chicken War

P.S. Jack in a Box is trying to fill the void..$3.99 gets a Double Patty Chicken Sandwich, Fries, and Drink for a limited time.
