Carrollton and Earhart isn't terrible. The best one was at Magazine and Marengo.

RIP Popeye's at Magazine and Marengo.
On Mardi Gras morning, the one on Claiborne close to Napoleon is outstanding. They open at 5 am and pump out the chicken.

Pittsburg

"The presence of the -h at the end of the word Pittsburgh is occasionally recognized in Pittsburgh culture. It is often rendered as PGH. For example, Pittsburgh International Airport's abbreviation is PIT, while Union Station's abbreviation is PGH; the area's Fox affiliate takes their calls, WPGH-TV from this. (This is ironic considering that Union Station, which opened in 1903, bears a relief on its rotunda that spells the city's name without the -h.) A recent playful take on the final -h of Pittsburgh appears in the name of the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority's brand of bottled water: PGH2O, which is a portmanteau of the abbreviation PGH and the chemical name for water, H2O.[17] In homage to the city's history, the "Pittsburg Plunge" at Kennywood park retains the alternate spelling without the "h"."

The More You Know

"In 1816, the town officially incorporated. But in its founding document, a "typo" was made and the "h" was left off every reference to Pittsburgh. Every city document, resolution and bit of council business spelled Pittsburgh correctly. Despite the error, almost all Pittsburghers kept the "h" in. In 1890, seeking uniformity among "burg" names, the federal government dropped the "h" in all towns that had one, including Pittsburgh. Much of Pittsburgh retained the "h," but to outsiders, there wasn't one."

Happy 'H' Day!

I had one tonight and it was everything that has been said about it. Even with the anticipated Pull Up Please it still took less time to get than the ridiculous line at CFA.

Had my first one today at the Highland Road location by Blue Bayou. Sandwich lives up to the hype. Chicken was crispy and delicious, pickles were solid, and the spicy mayo was good.

They had to swipe my card with a plastic bag because the machine was on the fritz. I wouldn’t have it any other way

Ordered 2 Classics with extra mayo at the Airline store near the Kenner line. Ms. Tiffany was friendly and polite. There was a short wait, but she said everyone behind me ordered the sandwich too, so it was ok. At 690 calories a pop and with the extra mayo, I’m estimating a combined total of 1500 calories. There’s nothing foul about this fowl.

Why would you get the classic?

Also, that airline popeyes is generally one of the better locations, hit that leaving the airport

Just ate 1 1/2 of these. I had to talk myself out of the rest. Didn’t want to feel like wanting to purge.
