Thank you for finding and posting that...not sure why that one poster thought I was making shite up when I said I could get a regular cheeseburger poboy with fries and an 8 piece chicken basket for under $25

And some people in here don't think that is a rip off?

A bunch of it is Pride87 who can be just a bit contrarian.

I’m not being a contrarian

Im not really discussing the individual item cost. He got enough food to feed 5 fricking mouths and it’s $45

$8 a mouth ain’t that bad these days my baws

But when I looked at the quality of his pictures this place looks as shitty as McDonald’s quality food. Judging by the hype I had heard I had thought it was more in line with nice local fare

For fast food quality crap, I would think the meal should have been closer to $30 total after tax. But that’s still nuts feeding a family of 4 to 5 is that expensive these days even for sandwiches and such. That’s why I barely ever go out to eat. Start throwing drinks in there and it ain’t hard to spend a lot of money at a “cheap” sit down place these days

Walked into the one on Cedercrest today and saw they still had "Market Price" on each menu item. I walked right out and had lunch elsewhere. Glad not just me that thinks their pricing strategy is BS. Have gone there for years. Adios

I would love to know how many people drive off once they get to the window at the Central location and are told their total, cuz you can't hear shite on their speaker and of course have no prices listed

I read through this entire thread before your post made me think. How shady is it for a place like that to have MP for prices? You’re not serving lobster, fresh fish, wagyu, or oysters. If you’re going to raise prices then by all means do it. I’m calling bullshite that it would be too cost prohibitive to print new menus or change signage to reflect real prices. I don’t think I’d ever just order something and hope the price was in line and I’m not cheap by any means. If it’s one or two items on a menu I could just ballpark it and assume it’s expensive and hopefully well worth it

It’s Poboy express. It’s a shady place to begin with. Always has been. Go once and you know what you’re getting when you go back. Which is the reason I rarely go. But maybe once a year, when I want to go to a drive through and get a Poboy, I’ll go knowing what it is.

I was curious enough to go to their website. Sure as shite, not one price. Kid chicken fingers MP. That is a joke. Never will I eat there. Furthermore, “MP” is a farce for them and it should be changed to “?” or “order to find out…..if you dare”

Looking at the price difference on Waitr and Poboy Express is almost double for some stuff. Rocco's whole hamburger poboy is $14.10. The ham poboy is a $10 difference.

I’ve never in my life seen “market price” for anything other than seasonal proteins or scarce luxury items. That’s what “market price” is...price on the market on the day you buy it.

a ham and cheese poboy or cheeseburger is not subject to the daily market. The balls on the guy/gal who decided to roll with this strategy are impressive. I’m pretty sure this is unprecedented for this kind of food LOL

Restaurants really have to raise prices where Waitr is involved but its also an opportunity for straight price gouging. At least through Waitr Po Boy Express is forced to divulge what the customer’s price is. F those slime balls
