Yeah I saw this. They went all in turning themselves into a steakhouse and it obviously did not work out.

Kinda sucks, I like them.

I assume Neyows will buy that location and keep expanding and fricking ruining that neighborhood and driving the Bayous further into going completely ghetto.

really? That is interesting. I know they have had several problems with sewerage and with getting broken into.

That’s the word on the street. Granted, the city is an easy blame for a failed concept

Never went there but I know they don't no how to pronounce boudin when I watched them make it on munchies. As soon as I heard them say it wrong, a little trust was lost.

It was great as a sandwich deli and meat counter. But they had weird hours and would close for days at random times. Then the shift to a steakhouse. I always got the impression that the owners’ hearts were only half into it or they just wanted to do other things in life. I seem to recall that they liked putting politics into their marketing campaign too, of which I’m not a fan. .

Thought Bayou Beer Garden owners owned the building and part of the business.

The hipsters were just the front.

Spot on. Somehow or another they are tied to Bayou Beer Garden. Along with Bayou Wine Garden and The Holy Grounds.

Bayou Beer Garden had their kitchen shut down for a hot second renovating and trying new recipes, I'd almost put money down they'll try to open their own true restaurant concept there and cut out the middle man.

POM bought the beer garden folks out of the restaurant awhile back. BBG still owns the building

That location at 3301 Bienville St. had been various bars and restaurants through the years. It’s now owned by the partners behind the adjacent Bayou Wine Garden and Bayou Beer Garden. Initially, they were also partners in Piece of Meat too, though that arrangement ended amicably over the winter with Smith and Jackson buying out their shares.

They were good and busy the few times I went. Always solid meals. Pre and post conversion.

I don’t know their politics but that is not very smart.
