My last nice left-handed roux spoon fell to one of my german shorthairs, so my and we made it over to the Broadmoor Arts and Crafts Festival to replace it. I found the guy and new spoon and a backup. The ones I got were upgraded longleaf pine and I paid $20 each.

If anyone is looking for Christmas Presents, Mike's Woodworks Spoons Galore and More. https://spoonsgaloreandmore.com/home

P.S. I don't know if it was the rain but only 1/3 of the booth spots were setup, I don't know how many more years this event has.

I can’t use them. I don’t know why they just don’t feel right in my hands. I just use a regular wooden or even a metal spoon.

Wash by hand and coat with a light coat mineral oil and it will last forever. Still not dog proof though.

Nice, another local option. I had used some from this place for projects but its always good to have backup.

I have one of those also, it took back over as the starter after my good one went down to the dog. I like mine with more weight, those are light.

Wick, was the longleaf a special at the festival or is there an option to upgrade? Could not find it on the website.

Not sure, I would just contact him and ask for the longleaf pine. It was $5 more in cost but had a much better grain

Awesome, Thanks!

I've always looked at getting some cypress spoons but had no idea how well they will hold up.

I opt for the flat Asian wooden spoons for about a buck.
