You must not like Seafood because Bonefish is a step up from Outback.

Should have gotten the filet. You aren't getting a good ribeye at a place like that.

Most of the steaks are thin which is why I don't order them, usually. As you said, it's difficult to cook a thin steak in a manner you would like. Should have tried the pork tenderloin.

My sister and the kids went to an Outback last night and it was packed. I can see today not being crowded for lunch right after the holiday, though.

I love seafood but Outback was closer and like I've posted before, I wanted prime rib. Found out that's a dinner thing.

Kicking myself for not getting the filet. Was going to order that and then went ribeye at the end. Filet may be the way to go for any chain restaurant.

I gotcha. I don't think it would have mattered what cut of meat you would have gotten there, you would have gotten similar results.

I enjoy Sunday brunch occasionally at Bonefish Grill.

I would take that card and mail it to Meridian Dog, who would happily go to whatever of those three places you suggested and thank you when I came home after eating a perfectly good free meal.

Having done that, you could claim you did a good thing for MD.

Right? Everything gives me the shits eventually. Actually, I'm more concerned if it doesn't.

Outback can get you a decent steak

Bonefish on the other hand isn't terrible. The bang bang shrimp are great and the sea bass is pretty good as well.

If I lived in Meridian, I'd be ecstatic to have these three restaurants in my city

But we used it and had a nice lunch date. The company was good. She's too good for me.

Went to Breckenridge for a week last year and then this past summer spent a week in Denver for work. I find most Colorado food to be awful and lacking flavor. I dig the whole farm to table aspect that a lot of places have up there but they just don't execute it well.

So with that said, my wife and I started seeking out chains the last couple of days we were in Denver because we at least knew what to expect. We ate at both Carabas and Bonefish Grill. Was it great? Of course not but it was damn sure better than the flavorless shite the local places were serving.

I don't live in Meridian.

I figured you were just posturing as one of the food snobs here who are better than everyone else. Until I see otherwise, you are now on that list.

LSUZombie says, "I am too good to eat at anywhere the common folk eat, but just this once, sine it's free. But I didn't like it and will probably gag into the toilet bowl all night long and spend the next two days seated on the toilet because of my sensitive girlie bowels."

I just love this place. Some of you guys are worth every dollar of the membership payment Chicken demands from us each year.

I very much enjoy your food threads and have had fun making several of your recipes, but you need to lighten up a tad and not take every post so seriously. That said, I'm fine being put on that list. I enjoy good food, regardless of where it comes from. I enjoy interesting food from menus created with fresh ingredients by talented chefs and cooks.

You aren't going to get that at Outback, Bonefish, or Carraba's.

In my post I said the meal wasn't bad. Just boring and not worth $40 of actual real money. I went to City Pork yesterday with the GF and we had this beautiful charcuterie and cheese board and we split the shrimp and boudin. It was delicious and cost about $40. I like paying for good food and I'll leave a table open for those who like the consistency of chain joints.

That meal, and the Outback meal were the same price. Sorry if that makes me a snob.

Which City Pork is that from, the original or brasserie?
