The carry weight to fat/calorie ratio of a single slice of spam is fantastic. It’s readily available and cheap. Imagination has nothing to do with it.

When I was stationed at Pearl I found out that Hawaiians love some damn spam and there is a sushi bar in every store

Spam from a c-ration breakfast pack. Nothing better although canned scrambled eggs sucked big time. Does anyone know if MREs have that menu option. I understand only old farts know what c-rations opened with a P38 in the rain were like.

Spam and eggs is amazing as is Spam fried rice.
ETA: I love good hot dogs, brats, and sausage. Local butcher shop makes some all beef dogs with their trimmings that are freaking amazing.
