like what? Southern food is generally pretty simple (I'm not saying that is a bad thing)

She's a caricature of the worst, most tired arse lazy cliches about the South. A racist old white lady who loads her dishes down with fat and sugar. The South and southern food is a lot more complex and interesting than the shite she shoveled to dumb tourists.

I think that is an odd thing to take so personally. To each his own, I guess.

I guess you've never met anyone her age from southern Georgia. She acts and talks just like my aunts from Albany, Georgia do.

She did play it up a little on her show, but it wasn't really egregious, IMO.

I do agree that most of her food sucks, and her restaurant in Savannah was an overpriced Cracker Barrel.

Her location at OWA in Foley was supposed to open last year. Still sitting there with the doors shut and an opening soon sigh on the door.

Stopped at her resturant while in Pigeon Forge last fall. Overpriced and a staff/mgt. who were very full of themselves.

We were staying in our RV outside of town with our dog. They don't allow you to your take leftovers out, no to go box.

First and last time at one of their establishments...

Many all you can eat places don't let you take doggy bags.

If it’s still in tact, not eaten on, they probably reuse it.

Gotcha. Thought this was a normal restaurant.

Explains a lot.

Sicily’s Italian Buffet is like that.
If you order a specialty pizza and don’t eat it all, if you want to take the leftovers you have to buy a go box.
Think it’s like $3.00. The sad part is if you don’t buy a go box they’ll just throw the rest away. Why not just let you take it.
Heck they already made enough on the fountain drinks.

Because people don't behave like they normally would, when they're at a buffet.

It's in Savannah, they are only open for Breakfast and Lunch. Theres a menu but basically you pick a meat and 3 sides on a serving line. Kind of like A Piccadilly. I've only eaten there twice. It was good both times from what I remember but I was a kid.
