I just dislike a beer that adds fruit juice to get flavors. It reminds me of dropping a jolly rancher in a Zima. The fan boi's love it though so what do I know.

The only exception is a wild/sour/lambic. Even those are sort of in a class their own.

I'm kind of starting to enjoy the Parish update post more now that it causes people to get mad about it. LOL

You must be new if you don't remember the venom Ghost threads brought back in 2015 or so.

Yeah...I'm not already much a fan of the fruit-infused IPAs that just have that bit of grapefruit or such.

This stuff overloaded with mangos and raspberries just ain't my thing. That said, such brews seem to be part of a popular craft beer trend, so I'm sure they will find a decent sized clientele to sell out.

Those shitshow threads were entertaining.

I also remember when Parish released a version of Ghost that was more West Coast style. There were some pissed off people.

Craft beer bros

They show up in their F250s and Escalades to haul off #cases to their friends in H-town and beyond so they secure their duck hunting leases the next year.

Thank goodness they don't drink the good beer.

If I've learned nothing else from Htown, their approval in beer will make me question if the beer is good. They pimp hopidillo and yellow rose for Christ sake.

In their mind Yellow Rose was trade bait for Ghost

This and Bloom are my 2 favorite Parish releases so far.

Hopefully we see Atlas again this year and don't have to wait until next GR month

feel like the beer nerds are turning on Parish. Oh frick it, who am I kidding? They’ll be sold out by 2:00. They sell beer on their reputation alone.

And the FBD threads will still be full of anything Parish releases. I don’t understand the hate this company gets.

Yes they charge a lot. But it sells out every time, why shouldn’t they charge what it’ll sell for?

Yes they do one style of beer normally. But they announce they’re trying something different every month or so for the foreseeable future? Let’s shite on them for trying something different! (And casually forget that everyone has been drinking Reve for weeks)

Insert other bitching like “Andrew doesn’t even drink beer!” or “They outsourced their staple beers!” or “Broussard is too damn far!”

The only legitimate complaint IMO is that distribution sucks. It won’t improve until they stop selling out in 5 hours though. Why send the beer elsewhere for less profit when you can sell it at home for the same money that stores make from it? We can blame the people right next to them for creating this problem

Mildly separate thought from my long post right before this:

Parish has created the entire craft beer market in LA. I doubt GB or Great Raft or Tin Roof or Urban South are turning out good product for us in LA without Parish having led the way. They innovated in our market, and they deserve a lot of credit for it. All the success they have is well-earned
