Interesting, maybe our resident know it all in this thread can enlighten us as to what this might be?

Andrew is the man.

I'm going to accept that if he says it can't happen this year, it just can't happen. That's an excellent response. I'm really sad that it's not happening, I would have loved to try it, but I'm guessing he exhausted all reasonable options and now it isn't working.

So thanks to Andrew for being an OG and providing a timely and insightful response.

He still needs to get fricking Envie to NOLA. Production be damned. I don't care about other markets

Maybe a gift from their distributor? Distributors seem to always have the lock on barrel hook-ups.

15 of them. They had a connection with some Shreveport natives. GR does a great job networking and making connections. It will only help them out going forward.

B$, what do you think about idea of andrew brewing a one-off 100% brett canebrake?

Think it would be worth the time?

It couldn't be either confirmed or denied by Andrew. And I wouldn't want to steal his thunder anyway. But think about how many beer styles you can make that are 11+%. Now think which of those are typically bottle conditioned and aged for months before being released. It's not too difficult to figure out what it is.

GR day will be a ticketed event this year on November 22nd. This beer will be released alongside it. And in 2015, he'll make a 3rd 11+% beer in the series and release all 3 on the same day.

I think he wants to do that eventually as the base beer for Milton Teagle, Jr. But the whole concept of introducing Brett into the fermentation process can be a scary proposition for a brewery.

We need a Farmhouse Brett IPA before anything else.

Edit: I need. Maybe not we.

Keep up the hard work, Andrew. You get a lot of love around here, and it's because you make quality products.

Holy shite. This thread, Rouge and Andrew deliver!

OP does not.

Also, I do not know Andrew by any means but I've tried all of his bottled beers (haven't made it to the taproom yet), and I love this guy's commitment to quality. Who am I to judge whether or not he can get his hands on the right barrels for his beer?

I'd like to make that this year. Super Close to my birthday and no pesky wedding to get in the way

What's up with the naming convention of famous Jrs and applying another Jr to the end of the name. I heard of a indie band called Dale Earnhardt Jr JR the other day and it kind of blew my mind that this was a thing.
